Off topic, just wanted to get your thoughts about the MSW Program of these schools: APU, Loma Linda and Calbaptist. I am a prospective international student so any inputs will be highly appreciated:)

Hello! I don’t know much about the other schools but I actually applied to LLU! It’s close by and my partner and his family attended LLU for a number of things (OT, MD, BSN, etc.) I know someone who graduated with their MSW from there too. I’ve heard it’s a good school and has good programs; however, the price is outrageous!! Luckily I have 0 debt from my undergrad, so it wouldn’t be the worst thing to pay for my MSW from there. It’s definitely my last resort because of the price, but if you can pay for it, go for it.  It’s a good program.

I’ve heard good things about APU but the tuition costs for all those schools are a bit too much for me since they’re private.

Glad to know APU is good. I will also consider it alongside LLU. Thank you!

Nice, are you going for the 2 or 3 year

I applied to one of each! At CSUF I applied to the 2 year and CSULB for the 3 year. It doesn't seem to make much difference I hear though. The part time is still a ton of work and it would be a struggle to work full time while in a part time program IMO.

I have a couple close friends who attended APU. They loved it, they offer a "Clinical" concentration and it is one of the better programs for training MSW clinicians in the area.

Thank you for the feedback. Glad to know APU has a good rep.

Hi everyone! I interviewed March 10th with CSUF. I got an offer from another school with a short deadline, so I emailed CSUf and they told me unofficially that I would be receiving an admission offer and that official letters will out by the end of this week. Hope this helps!

Amazing! Congratulations! This is very helpful as I was wondering when we could expect offers of admission. At least the anxiety will be over one way or another. I hope everyone else gets good news.

So if I haven’t heard anything. Would it be safe to assume that I didn’t get on?

I think it might be a safe bet if you have not received an offer of an interview yet. But you never know, sometimes that interview later in the month as well if enough people don't accept their initial offers of admission. I hope you get good news from other schools!

Hello everyone,

I heard back from the MSW at CSUF, but they did not specify whether or not I've been accepted into the program. They also informed me that letters to students who interviewed wouldn't be going out for 2-3 weeks. i hope this is helpful.

It’s so hard to tell! i knew people who were accepted to CSUSB in early February, and I barely got my acceptance this week.  I think it’s premature to know because people who get admitted in this round may not accept the offer, and they’ll have another round of interviews.  Wishing you luck. ?

Hi everyone! I heard on a different forum that some people have started to get notified of their acceptance to CSUF! I have not heard anything either way yet. I hope those that have interviewed get some good news! If you haven't been interviewed yet, I would not give up hope! I know some people last year were invited to interview in April and were admitted. Fingers crossed for everyone ?

Saw that too!  I didn’t hear anything yet unfortunately, but a few people on the California MSW support group on FB said they were admitted.
