Yes, I'm also curious, I haven't gotten anything at all still.  Also, someone reports an acceptance several days ago on the results board.

For those who received recent updates regarding their Yale status, would you mind sharing if you only applied to Art History? Do updates for combined degrees come later?  Lastly, does Yale always interview? It is hard to discern a meaningful pattern from the results page. TIA!

For posterity, here's a piece of an email I received from the department, seems to me it says that there are interviews on a selected shortlist of 20 :

(first part is about whether it's necessary to be emailing or contacting someone before applying)

"....Nor does that silence impact your chances in the admissions process. We have had students who are admitted whose only contact with the department was at the interview stage when a short list of 20 or so applicants are interviewed before the final selection."

.....Though I wasn't interviewed, I don't know when it happened - if that is what he's saying, it sounds to me as though it is.

I only applied to art history. I had two interviews - one with POI and one with non-specialists.

I am waiting on Case Western after an interview. They didn't give me a timeline

Oh that is frustrating! I hope you get in! I applied to their MA program (I applied to only 2 PhDs) so I presume I'll hear later than you will.

Best of luck! From what I can tell, they haven't sent out acceptances for either program yet, so crossing my fingers for both of us!!

Received a phone call from POI notifying acceptance on 2/16. Followed up with an email for virtual recruitment events last week.

I was contacted two weeks ago by the Director of Graduate Studies to let me know that I was waitlisted. There has not been any official notification or update to my application portal, though. Not sure if acceptances went out that same week.

Thinking about it, but also secretly hoping braver souls will volunteer first and report back here or the results page, haha. I did directly contact a DGS of a program (not art history) and received a very friendly response within a day that top candidates had been already interviewed and notified.

Speaking of which, has anyone (sorry if I missed it) heard back from UPenn??

I might reach out if only to see if I'm waitlisted at any of the schools I haven't heard from. I assume not but dreams die hard.

I saw an acceptance on the results board at the end of Feb but haven't heard myself. Do they interview all candidates in consideration? I'm assuming that since I did not get an interview I am probably not in the mix.

Penn told me that final decisions were going to be made last week.  They didn’t specify whether that meant that decisions would have been sent to applicants last week, or that announcements were to come beginning this week onward.
