I'm planning on it, so I'll see you there! I received my offer on 1/27 but I don't know if it's on a rolling basis. It seems like their admissions were rolling, so perhaps funding is as well?

I am extremely stressed right now 😮‍💨 and anxiously waiting for news on funding. It will determine my next steps.

I'd recommend emailing Dr. Farrar or your potential advisor about it! My advisor and Dr. Farrar have both been really helpful for me. I hope you're able to get funding too!!

Hi I didn’t get the funding, which my advisor and me both unexpected. While waiting on the possible funding opportunity in case someone decline the offer, they nominated some students (probably 2 - 4) to the fellowship of $20,000 of stipend+tuition remission. If you were nominated, probably they reached out to you around 1/30-2/1. I am waiting the fellowship decision from the fellowship committee, but i hope someone declines the admission with the department funding early…. They said they have no ordered funding waitlist as of now.

Hello there! Thank you for sharing the information with me. Unfortunately, it seems that I was not nominated for the fellowship as I did not receive any notification. I reached out to Dr. Farrar earlier today and she informed me that there are currently no available GA/RA positions until students start to decline their offer.

Saw two posts about receiving offers from Rutgers. I'm not sure what are their selected concentrations; Has anyone applying for the Media Studies concentration heard back from Rutgers? I am getting anxious haha

It's PhD in JMC, with full funding.

I’ve applied to the MS concentration and I haven’t heard back yet

I applied for Davis after the deadline by coordinator acceptance but never heard anything back for an interview. I think it was wrong and this late submission resulted in rejection, though it was my top choice. Have you heard anything from Davis?

I contacted the department today and they informed me they are sending out this week and all decision will be released by this Thursday.

Got rejected to the UVA PhD program today, but accepted to the masters. Definitely a bit of a let down, as this was one of my top choices. Four more decisions to come!

Hi -- I received my acceptance letter from the communication concentration this morning. There was no interview (I informally spoke with a faculty member that I'd like to work with), and I applied on the earlier side of things (early Dec).

Has anyone heard from the media concentration at Rutgers? I’ve only seen waitlist so far and acceptance to the other concentrations they have. I mean this cycle was awful and I’m already thinking about the next one for 2025, but I am still curious

 I applied to the Penn state mass comm program. They had a first-round interview around mid-Jan and sent the invitation letter for 2nd interview(open house) before 24th Jan.  Sadly I haven't heard back since 1st interview...but I learned from others about the interview process.
