Wouldn't they have listed me as "waitlisted" on the same site? So frustrating all this waiting!

You might be on the waitlist.....all i know is that all decisions are supposed to be entered today.

I got in!!!!!!! Finally broke down and emailed John Yeary, apparently because I'm a dual applicant (MBA/MPAff) my status doesnt change until the business school puts in there decision, which isn't until next week. But, he confirmed that I had been recommended for LBJ!!!! So so excited!

but it seems like they have been putting in acceptances towards the very end of the business day.

I think the waitlisting is a newer thing within the last few years, so finding any information might be difficult. Did they give you any information as to how many people are waitlisted with you? If not, I'd ask.

Anyone heard anything about an admitted students day or other similar event?? with the quick turnaround time to make a decision on schools, i would imagine it would need to be pretty soon.

I emailed Mr. Yeary who said info regarding admitted student days would be in the documents we'll be receiving this week. I'm assuming he was referring to the official letter from the LBJ school? I tried to find out when the visitation days took place last year, but with no luck...anyone have an idea? I'd love to get the ball rolling with travel plans so I hope they do let us know soon :)

Spoke to Mr. Yeary on the phone this afternoon and he said information about fellowships and stuff would be sent out over the next few days. I live about 20 minutes from LBJ, so I'm like can't I just pick it up!!! But hopefully they get it in the mail soon so everyone can make travel plans, etc.

I was under the impression that all of that info was coming via email. Is that not correct? I emailed him last week and that's what he said so maybe their plans changed?

has anyone gotten their official letter yet? since the mba notices don't go out until friday, my status online still hasn't updated, so I figured I would see if anyone had a date for the accepted students day yet. thanks!

I received the official letter from the graduate school via email last Friday, but I have not yet received an official notification from LBJ.

I just wanted to let those of you who are interested know that I just received my official letter from LBJ from John Yeary via email. It included funding information so check your emails... Although I doubt I have to tell people on these boards to do that...

I received mine earlier today as well.

Has anyone located a list of recent LBJ grad employers? I found the graphs that divide careers up based on public/nonprofit/private and location but not the names of actual companies, organizations or government agencies.

Funding/official admission letters are out! I just got mine via email. I received $10k/year and a waiver for the nonresident portion of my tuition. Does anyone know how much in-state tuition at LBJ costs? Time to go a'googling... Good luck everyone!!

Do you mean $20k for the full 2 year program? Only 2 semesters a year, right?

I was under the impression that LBJ was one of the stingier schools with funds, which made sense being a state school. So I was just shocked to get my letter today with $15k a year plus in-state tuition. It makes UT unbelievably cheap... wow, I need to go visit, but I've got some serious thinking to do.

...And for that kind of money, Texas just made the Final Four in my bracket.

same here--I was surprised to be named one of the LBJ Fellows with 5k per semester and in state tuition as well. This completely covers tuition for both years which is amazing news. I'm really looking forward to visiting campus and hopefully this will help me make a decision!
