Is it rude to email the admissions committee regarding acceptance and application review?

Basically, I want to know if it is precocious and demanding to email a member on the admissions committee whom I have previously coressponded with, to find out when notifications will be sent out regarding admissions.

Hey!

I wouldn't email them. Check the timelines on the individual school's page, and just be patient. At least that's what I'm trying to do, and it's driving me crazy! But I'm trying to keep myself busy.

If there's a grad secretary of some sort for your department, I'd suggest emailing him/her instead if you really can't wait :)

Just send a brief, polite email to one of the staff secretaries. It's part of their job to deal with this stuff.

O/T but omg, why must you have that username? Now I feel like it is a bad omen. Like, a really bad omen.
