guoannie Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 I am on the waiting list of IEAPA program... so depressed... What's the chance to get in? Does any one else suffer from the same situation? Applied: Harvard ( IEP) Stanford (IEAPA) Columbia (IEP) UCLA (SSCE) Upenn (ISHD) Accepted: Upenn Waitlisted: Stanford Pending: Harvard ( IEP) Columbia (IEP) UCLA (SSCE)
clover123 Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 Wait listed at Cornell. But at least it's much better than a straight rejection.
PhDreams Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 I'm just nervous about Stanford because the email said that they would start notifying after 4/15... I don't know if I want to risk it.
guoannie Posted February 29, 2012 Author Posted February 29, 2012 I am nervous, too. Have you asked the department how high up you are on the list? I asked, haven't got an answer yet. Notifying after 4/15 is so risky... But Stanford is my dream school... ;(

ottertown Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 on the plus side... based on the incredibly small sample size of this forum, I have yet to see two people wait-listed for the same masters program. perhaps the waitlist is actually used. and as for the april 15... technically, decisions were only supposed to happen after march 15, and they happened two weeks early. april 15 might just be more slack they give themselves. optimistic to my grave, ottertown

Revo Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 Good luck to all on being admitted off the waitlist! I wish there was a way to me to designate waitlisted Grad Cafe-ers to take the spots at schools I will not be attending.

Revo Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 Awwwwwwww..... I feel bad for sitting on offers, since I should be able to make a decision within a few days once I hear back from all of my schools, and they tell me what kind of financial aid package they're offering.* *So, I'm hoping I can figure out by about April 6, unless some schools pick up the pace.

Ehh...don't feel bad. Everyone is sitting on offers at some point in this process. You have to make the best decision for yourself. I'm on a waitlist too, but I completely understand how stressful this process can be for others who are waiting to hear back from all their schools before they make a decision. Good luck to all! Here's hoping that you find the best fit with the most possible funding!
