jacket24 Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 (edited) US News has released updated rankings for graduate schools...out of curiosity, does anyone have access to the 'US News Engineering School Compass?' There has been some shuffling of Environmental Engineering programs among the top 10 but I'm curious to see rankings for the top 20 or so environmental programs for the new year. http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-engineering-schools/environmental-engineering-rankings Edited March 13, 2012 by NYluie2424

zerothorder Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 Does anyone have a listing for photonics (or Related) ? blubb 1
AbaNader Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 many thanks ... so stanford has jumped up to topslot You don't seriously consider a jump of a couple of spots (or even 5!) as an indicator of the quality of a program, do you?
lkh5650 Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 i feel horrible to ask as you already did so much work but could you possibly show us the top 20 eng school for materials science and engineering?? really appreciated your time and kindness

luckyseven Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 Is there anyone who can help with rankings for Chemical Engineering? I would like to know where Ohio State is currently ranked.
TeaGirl Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 You don't seriously consider a jump of a couple of spots (or even 5!) as an indicator of the quality of a program, do you? I don't think anyone actually does. No, but there's kind of an unofficial competition between the 2 programs, and it seems MIT has been winning it for the last number of year. So Stanford getting ahead is kind of fun to watch
lkh5650 Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 I was wondering if anyone can tell me the rank for UCSD for Materials science and Engineering department! Thanks!!
bluebunny Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 I was wondering if anyone can tell me the rank for UCSD for Materials science and Engineering department! Thanks!! UCSD is ranked #42 for Materials Science and Engineering.
zerothorder Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 (edited) @im_blue, can you find anything related to ranking of Boston University for photonics or related areas? thank you. Edited April 5, 2012 by zerothorder
caselogic Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 mrhr0bin : could you or anyone update ranking for graduate Automotive Engineering please? Much appreciated your assistance.
ghanada Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 @zerothorder, I am pretty sure BU's rankings in ECE (photonics) isn't particularly high ranked. However, I am getting my Masters in EE at BU (not in photonics), but I know there's lots of good work happening in that area. I also think BU gets pretty underrated for engineering. The profs are good, the research is good, and facilities are great, and the campus is nice. I am not sure if you are considering other places, but if you are worried about BU because of ranking, I think you will be ok.
leslieknope Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 does anyone know drexel's Material science ranking?
bluebunny Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 @im_blue, can you find anything related to ranking of Boston University for photonics or related areas? thank you. No specific photonics ranking, but BU is #48 in Electrical Engineering and #58 in Materials Science and Engineering.
bluebunny Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 does anyone know drexel's Material science ranking? Drexel is tied for #35 with 6 other schools.
