I have emailed the department of Public Health in SFU to know when else we should expect our admission decision since we were told to expect the admission decision in their website by March 15th but March 15th has gone-by now. I hope they respond to me soon.

Awesome! Do you know if they will be notifying people by email or phone?

I pray that UVIC admission decision comes out fine! :)

Hello Tulle,

I received a letter from Ottawa in the mail that said I was on the wait list for the MSc Epidemiology, however it has not been updated online yet.

hi guys, i noticed that offers from uottawa epi (msc) went out already - rejections at least were posted, but has anyone been accepted?? hopefully i wasn't forgotten :/

I haven't heard from Ottawa yet either -- they told me that I would hear within the next 2 weeks though.  Maybe not having been rejected or wait-listed means good news?

Dear all, please Urgent help,

i am a new immigrant and i applied to only Guelph since it was the only place which accept spplications till march, I dont know my chance but i need to know your feedback:

1) BSC in biochemistry (honors) but not high GPA(78%).

2) MS in biochemistry.

3) Certificate on emerging infectious diseases epidemiology from university of IOwa ,USa (GPA=4)

4) 14 years in infectious diseases surveillance in the middle east ,Africa ,east Europe and centeral Asia.

5)I attached an appreciation letter for me from the world health organization due to outstnding response during outbreak investgation in Africa.

What do you think , am i eligible to complete with this low GPA???

anyone think about Master in health informatics??

thanks

For anyone who applied to U of T for Health Promotion, this is what Charlotte Lombardo at U of T told me when I submitted my application in January:

"We will send out initial offers of interest via email in late March for the first round and mid-April for the second round, this would then be confirmed by an official offer of admissions in the form of a letter from the School of Graduate Studies."

She also said:

" Around the mid-April timeline all applicants would be informed of their status, in terms of unsuccessful, waiting list or offer of admission."

So I would think it shouldn't be too much longer !  Though I guess if we aren't accepted or rejected in the first round, it could be a little longer :(

Do most schools send rejections before they send acceptances?

I think uoft does but thats probably because they have such a large applicant pool! but i believe most schools send acceptances/rejections around the same time

I think you mean University of Western Ontario - and I am not sure what their program is like - but it is a very good university.  I don't know anything about the M in Health Informatics...

Has anyone else applied to the Occupational and Environmental health stream at U of T?

Has anyone heard from UoA or SFU yet?

No, nothing from SFU yet. I sent them email 2 days ago, but they did not reply me.

I received an email today from U of A saying they recommended to be accepted to the program (epidemiology specialization) and they gave me until April 5th to accept.

Best of luck to everyone, I am sure people will hear from them soon.

I received a letter from UAlberta today (I applied to the MPH in Epi). The letter was sent via email, as an attachment, and stated that there were a very high number of applicants this year, so they're sending these letters out now and when they've received responses to them, they'll start sending offers to people on the waiting list. I don't know if this would apply to any streams other than Epi though.

As I mentioned above (looks like we posted at about the same time!), I received the same letter and I am really surprised by how close the deadline to accept the offer is. I wonder if they're always that soon? Hopefully other schools will send acceptances/rejections within the next two weeks.

Congratulations! i also received the same e-mail this afternoon from UofA (epi) and have till april 5th to accept.

I am trying to decide between UofA and UBC any advice from anyone who has experience with these schools or the program would be really appreciated.
