It says on their application website that they are doing the whole interview process this year, so I wouldn't be nervous about it!

Is this just where they say that they'll send interview invites on the week of 21st? Is there something else as well?

Anyway, they said there will be information in the FedEx package :)

Thanks btw!

Anyone else have a school blow them off after they told them they had a date conflict? I'm starting to think not going to the interveiw weekend for UW-Madison= no interview.

Yes.  I have this same issue.  It's like, what am I supposed to do?

UW-Madison just emailed me back. They are willing to schedule me for an alternative weekend so long as I am willing to pay for my own airline tickets. Testing my commitment perhaps? It's worth the price for me as long as they do not try to schedule me for another weekend I already have booked.

I think I'd probably reject any school that wouldn't reimburse me for the airline ticket, particularly if they're paying for everyone else. It would leave a really bad, silvery-medal taste in my mouth. :P

I agree with Jubilee. What if they truly were your first choice, and then them saying that they wouldn't reimburse you changed your mind? If there is this much trouble before you even get there...If it's not my first choice I'd think I'd say thanks, but no thanks.

I have mixed feelings about it. I want to have options and preferably multiple acceptance offers to choose from. If I got rejected post interview from the five schools I already have interviews at and I didn't go to the alternate weekend at madison I think I would regret it.

I would still do it.  In my opinion, things are still up in the air until I get acceptances.

I doubt that you will get rejected from five schools based on your stats. If it is your 3rd choice, and you have the financial means to fly yourself there, then go for it.

Thanks. I suppose until they send me any specifics I still have time to change my mind.
