I just got an email saying SFSU wants me to interview with them in two weeks. It's a group interview (which I think is harder since you need to find different answers to the same questions). However, it's on the same day as my midterm, so I'm thinking about doing the interview via webcam. I feel like it's harder that way since I might not be able to hear as well and might end up repeating answers that someone else said.

Any tips/thoughts? Does anyone have any idea of what SFSU usually asks during interviews?

Nervous!

I don't know what they will ask, but I will be at the interview. I too find these group interviews a bit stressful! Good luck to us both. :)

I think my interview went really well, bu I still haven't heard back from them. Have you?

I haven't heard back either. It was a difficult interview to gauge because it was a group interview. The scenario we were given seemed so black and white, so we all agreed... I want to hear back!

Same! I really felt like it went well, but now I'm getting nervous since it's taking them so long to come to a decision :( Best of luck to you!

Hey y'all.... I was in the 9am group that didn't start until 930 because of "technical difficulties." Perusing the boards here for approximate timelines, it seems SF State doesn't start notifying accepted applicants until 2 weeks after the interview. I think they're mailing out all their rejections. So... *fingers crossed* we should still be ok. I'm looking at the 20th at the earliest, but more like 3/30 to really start freaking out. Their spring break is 3/23-3/27.

No problem! I applied to like 11 schools and have so far only gotten into Portland State. SFSU is another top choice for me so I am excited to hear back - though cost of living sort of makes the whole idea pretty unattractive unfortunately. If I get in I'll have to make a tough decision! Their autism program seems really incredible and their staff were SO nice at the interview, I couldn't believe it. Very relaxed environment, I dug it a lot.

Hey one of my friends said she got an email yesterday with their response. I still havent received anything and im a little nervous now! Stay on the lookout

Yeah I'm in the same boat. I called the office and they said that Credential Admissions are the people to talk to about if they are sending these acceptances out in waves but - they are impossible to reach by phone so I am not going to hold my breath. Assuming rejected....at least I got in somewhere!

Dang!! Trying to stay positive but it's so hard! I haven't heard back with any acceptances yet and it's so hard to not know whether or not I'll be in school next semester. Stay strong, guys!

It feels so disheartening because SFSU was one of my top choices! Def trying to stay positive though. I checked the mail and haven't received a rejection letter yet.

Yes SFSU is my #1 choice because it's in one of the greatest cities in the country and has the specialized program for AAC. super bummed and biting my nails right now. Keep us updated with everything! I'll post when I hear back from the school.

Good luck, everyone.

In between obsessively checking this site and dreading coming home to check the mail, I feel ya guys! I just checked, and I haven't received a letter in the mail either! I emailed Mallorie Desimone today, the CD Administrative Analyst/Specialist, and all she gave me was, "I believe notifications should be going out this week." Let's hope it's a slow rollout of acceptances. I'm naively hoping they do it in alphabetical order, considering my last name begins with "R."

We got this y'all!

I love how equally anxious/paranoid we all are. It's also interesting that someone already received a rejection letter via mail. Since I'm in SF, I thought is get something via mail rather quickly. Who knows though? What an enigma! :)

It seems as though the e-mail those have gotten so far is informing them that they need to get their fingerprints processed and be cleared for a COC. I have been working at a school and already have my COC, anybody else?

Hoping that's why I haven't received an admission offer yet!!! Also, my last name starts with an S so that theory can be true as well!

OooOOoOooO really hoping you're right. I didn't even think of that.... I have my fingerprints on file too because I worked for an ABA company that needed them at the end of 2013. maybe they were still good? ah

I also have my fingerprints and COC. so your theory makes sense. But, it's weird that someone was rejected via postal mail and other people are posting saying they're accepted. Hm.

Posted

i think all the people who have posted about acceptances have received that fingerprint e mail and that's how they found out they have been recommended for admission. It doesn't seem like any official acceptances have been sent out from the department.

Still hoping that we all get good news!!!

I need oneeeee solid acceptance! (No more waitlists!)

Good luck everyone!

well actually I don't know... I think you would need someone's social security code or something to gain access to their fingerprints files :/ It would be too easy to get the wrong fingerprints from someone who happens to have your first and last names. but I hope that's why we haven't gotten emailed yet. eeee
