New to the forum and am looking into all options for masters/doctorates.

What's your undergrad major? What areas interest you? What countries are you willing to study in? You seriously have to narrow this down.

everyone should check out Erasmus Mundus! so many americans have no idea what it is. They have masters and doctorate programs in like 100 different areas ranging from biology to social policy to fucking like water management or something. It's usually a 2 year program where they pay you to study and travel around Europe. It's a pretty sweet deal. Check it out!

I agree with the people above. If you want any helpful replies, you might want to consider giving some more information, such as:

 

- What was/is your undergrad major?

- What do you want to pursue for postgrad?

- Where are you willing to relocate to?

- How much many are you able/willing to spend on postgrad?

- Why do you consider both masters and PhD? This is especially relevant if you consider going outside the States for postgrad.

First question: What do you want to do?

 

Your profile doesn't give us any information about you, neither does your post. Do you want insight from the criminal justice, law, biology, medicine, music, education, etc. The answer to your question changes drastically from career path to career path. If you don/t know what you want to do yet, figure that out first. One of the core elements of every admissions committee is determination, focus, and passion for their goal.
