Hi everyone!

Is anyone else applying to Developmental Psychology PhD programs?  If so, where have you applied and where have you received interview offers?

Good luck to all applying!!

Hi there! I've applied across Developmental Psychology, Child Development, and Human Development programs, so not sure how much overlap I'll have with those whose apps are all within psychology departments.

So far I have received invitations to interview at Tufts (child development), Michigan State (child development), and UCLA (human development and psychology).

Hoping the next few weeks bring good news!

I applied to developmental and school psych PhD programs. In developmental, so far, I have an interview at the University of Miami. I also have an interview at Michigan State, @sdebelli, but it's school psych. Good luck everyone!

@outsidegirl4 not sure how I missed this when you posted it...will you be at MSU on February 19th?

I also just heard from the Applied Developmental and Educational Psychology dept. at BC for their Feb. 15th interview. The results pages suggest that NYU and Vanderbilt would invite this week for their mid-February interviews, but I haven't seen any chatter yet for this application cycle.

I've also applied to NYU's Developmental Psychology program. Haven't heard anything yet and nothing has popped up in the results page yet.

I also haven't heard from Cornell's Human Development program or Columbia TC's Developmental Psych. Anyone heard anything yet from those programs?

Hoping that invitations will be sent out this week...

Portland State is meeting next week to decide on applicants to invite to a late February visiting weekend.

Hello! I applied to two programs. The first one is the Applied Developmental program at the University of New Orleans and the second program is Tulane's School Psych program. I received a phone interview invite for UNO through an email from my POI on Friday, and we will be speaking on Monday!

How are y'all prepping for interviews?

Good luck, everyone!

Hello fellow developmental psych students! I applied to 8 schools (a little over zealous). These include: Emory, Georgia State University, University of Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Boston University, University of Maryland, University of North Carolina-Greensboro, and University of Louisville.

I have had a skype interview with University of Louisville and Emory. I am going to visit days for University of Tennessee, Emory, and Georgia State.

So far I am feeling good about the process! It all seems to be happening so fast! To prep for them, I have just really chugged through my POI's publications, and what their current graduate students focus on. My mentor now told me that I need to be really well versed in the research that is being conducted in the lab I am an undergrad RA in. She said that the people you will be meeting with at an interview want to hear if you can talk about research in a way that makes sense.

Good luck to everybody!

Well, that sounds like a scheduling nightmare but a good problem to have!  Congrats!
