I was wait listed as well and my email came in at 3:45 (last name H)... so anyone from Region 17 who doesn't plan on attending, please, PLEASE let them know ASAP!

I got the email through TWU. Try going to gmail.twu.edu, login with your webadvisor screen name@twu.edu and use your password. If it doesn't let you login, go to the pioneer portal, "my settings" and then reset your password. It should reset your password across all sites, pioneer portal, webadvisor, and the twu email account. That's what worked for me when I couldn't log in. Hope that helps!

Last year, I mailed it overnight and my application was nowhere to be found. My application ended up at TWU's bookstore... If you used Fed-Ex, call the office where you mailed it. They can track it and will call their main office for you to ensure your packet is found! They even called TWU for me.

To everyone to hasn't rec'd a decision letter yet, TWU  will be sending them out on Thursday (yesterday) and today. I called and asked. I personally haven't heard anything yet..

Applied to region 10.

I'm a little worried because I did not put an email address on my packet (have no idea why!), but it is on my online application. I never rec'd that confirmation email that I've read on a lot of other posts.. Not sure what's going on..

No I haven't!  I did get the email that said it was being reviewed.  If I was you,  I'd confirm if they received it before all decisions have been made.

@JoD3o Thanks! I tracked it back in October and it was delivered and signed for on campus, but not to the right building! I had no idea up until yesterday when I was reading about the confirmation emails and it prompted me to call UPS. I sent an email and called  S. Colton, so hopefully I know soon.

I don't know... they already sent out most, if not all "yes" and "waitlist" yesterday. From what I was told by a friend who was accepted yesterday, the denials came a few days after the yes and wait list when she was denied for Cycle 8.

I applied to UH last year, and they sent out the "yes/accepted" letters first..

Congratulations to all who got accepted.  As of about 30 minutes ago, I received my denial letter.  I'm super bummed since this program would let me continue working for my school district.  Well guess it is on to round 5 of grad school applications.  :-)

I just got my denial letter and I'm so upset. I want to know why. What can I do for next time around? My gre scores are higher than the average, my gpa is a little lower than their average. What happened?

 

but I won't know until January.

@kristens I'm so sorry! I know the feeling. It's a very competitive major where everyone almost has the exact same record. I wonder if there's someone you can ask specifically what went wrong.

If it makes you feel any better, I just found out yesterday that TWU never rec'd one of my transcripts (no one contacted me and I had confirmation that they did rec'v it) and therefore my application was not processed. My app packet was also delivered to the wrong place (I think I've tracked it down).

Keep your head up. Things will work out the way they're suppose to. Good luck!

Apply to another grad program that's related to our field like for education or counseling and take a few courses, make sure to maintain a 4.0 . I believe that's what helped me get in! I completed 3 semesters in a grad program for counseling and guidance, got all A's and was able to strengthen my application that way. I also had great recommendations from the director of special education in my district and two of my supervising SLPs I've known for 2 years. The first time I applied I had two SLPAs write recommendations lol oh well, you learn a lot in three years! Just don't give up!!

Hi. The packet said we would know by Dec 15. I called that afternoon and was told that something was going on with the emails. That some would receive it Thursday, hopefully the rest on Friday and if not, the following week. 

I haven't gotten anything. I'm stressed! I also keep checking webadvisor under admission status and mine still says "awaiting department review."

Glad you said something.  I haven't heard back either. I'm feeling doubtful.  It takes much less time to send out the acceptance and wait list emails; there were fewer accepted than had applied. So,  I'm assuming acceptance letters went out Thursday and now they're taking a while to send out denial letters. Sorry if that sounds pessimistic lol tried to go the weekend with the mentality that I didn't get in so I wouldn't be completely shocked.  Deep breaths.  Things happen for a reason,  I know some people hate hearing that,  but we'll figure out our path! I'll keep you posted on my result! Have a great rest of your weekend!

I don't know if anyone would be willing to do this, but my co-worker applied for TWU and didn't get accepted a couple of years ago. She called to set up a meeting and explained the reasons why she should be accepted. They reviewed her application again and changed her denial to an acceptance. I think it's worth a shot! That was my plan, if I didn't get accepted.

@Speechiegirl12Wow, that's awesome!!! I think it's very easy to start to look at applicants like they're all the same, especially when it's back to back. Sometimes all it takes is a second glance. Congrats to your friend! Have you not heard anything yet??

Is there anyone that has not received an email yet? I called and Sue Colton told me she was out Friday. So some will be sent out this week.  But I still haven't heard anything. They told me to wait for an email.
