mastermind1886
This probably goes without saying, but a few weeks ago, I received an email through the U of Minn's application system saying that my application was complete and was sent to the committee. HOWEVER - I received this email in my Spam folder. And I use Gmail, whose filter is usually pretty solid at figuring it out. So keep your eyes out... JennyFieldsOriginal
I'm officially terrified my top choice schools are masquerading as Viagra salesmen and are sending suspicious emails with teeny tiny lettering at the bottom that says "oh yeah, we never got your writing sample!" Seriously though, this is a good point. Thanks for bringing this up, I'll be checking all my email folders from now on. polymath
Thanks, I never would've thought and almost missed an e-mail from "Miller" that maybe some others on the board are waiting for: "Make your meat-stick massive - McCane's wife private video" I haven't opened it yet but I think it might be from Yale. Oh geez, I just snorted tea out my nose. I think I'll be looking at my spam in a whole new way from now on.

joro
I rarely get spam in my gmail account, but I do check it if I ever do to make sure it isn't anything important. It's funny that you mention this, but I received an email that ended up in my spam box a while back from a school that sent a confirmation after I had applied. mastermind1886
Little known fact... but the Nigerian bank scam emails are actually Ivy League admissions committee members SOLICITING YOUR STRICTEST CONFIDENCE IN THE TRANSACTION TO COLLECT YOUR INHERITANCE OF GREAT MAGNITUDE. YOUR NAME, ADDRESS, PHONE NUMBER, SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER, BANK ACCOUNT NUMBER, AND PIN CODE ARE NEEDED. THIS TRANSACTION IS 100% SAFE.
