Question

Hi guys, this is a stupid but kinda frustrating question.....

I am applying for Duke's statistics PhD for 2017 fall.

I accidentally clicked the "withdraw application" tab button when checking my application material status, and nothing appears on the web page except a blank page.

I was wondering if my application is still there if I did not click anything else or it's already removed just by one-click?

I already sent them an email, but would not expect them to reply in a few days. Totally freaking out now....

Is there any way I can tell my application is still there or not?

Thanks in advance!

A one button click to wipe out an application is pretty poor design on Duke's part, should apply to NC State instead :-)

Seriously though, I doubt your application is lost forever. They should reply to you soon about restoring it. Only way you could tell is by using the status page or if the status page is different than the application page (ApplyYourself for Duke I think) try logging into that too.

I applied to NCSU, it's definitely my top choices! Unfortunately I didn't make the priority deadline. My supervisor didn't submit her LOR until Dec 28. Wish I can hear from them soon.

I think they have their own system to check the status, and I logged in several times and everything seems the same... Not sure if anything will change later... fingers crossed.

That's pretty poor design on their part.. but I'm sure the data is there and they can restore it.

Mod moment: please don't cross-post the same question multiple times. I've deleted the other post you made.

Sorry :-P I am just too frustrated.....

Hopefully they can restore the application material, though Duke is still a long shot for me. I thought there might at least be a box for you to check and say "Yes I confirm." or something like that

No answers but sending sunshine and cupcakes your way because that sucks!! I'm sure once the office opens up tomorrow morning you'll be able to get it successfully sorted.

I failed to find the edit button so I will post the update here.

This morning a staff at Duke's admission office replied my email (I really appreciate their efficiency), and told me that my application is still there. I guess maybe the blank page means nothing.

Thanks again for all your suggestions!
