I'm really excited because I love the program and I've started applying for assistantships. Has anyone started looking at housing? Specifically where can we find roommates? How did you find assistantships to apply to?

They aren't social work specific assistantships but most are open to all grad students so I've been looking at them. I think we get an email about the ssw assistantships later. Here's the link: http://www.bc.edu/offices/gsc//students/assistantships.html

I'm still deciding were to go but I'm starting to look at housing because I'm considering both Boston College and Boston University. For Boston College they have this website for finding listings and help finding roommates https://offcampushousing.bc.edu/ As someone from out of state it's definitely daunting to try to do from afar but luckily they seem to have supports at the school to help with the process!

Thanks! It's so crazy seeing the high cost of living. I'm definitely going to come up for a weekend in like June to look for a place too. Is getting a broker actually worth it or is it a rip off?
linabina Posted March 22, 2017 Posted March 22, 2017 @tuxedobird10There are some room listings here: https://m.facebook.com/groups/2203898931
taracot Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 Is anyone else not going to have a car while they're in Boston? (I don't have my license for a few reasons but even when I do get mine I wouldn't have access to a car). Boston is very public transportation friendly, but now I'm worried about field placements for next year as I'm filling out BC's field placement application.
