I got waitlisted. Apparently they gave their candidates a deadline of April 1 to get back to them. Maybe they'll send out more definitive emails after April 1?

losing my marbles as I wait to hear from northwestern (had an interview over a month ago, sent an email yesterday lol)

it's so hard to feel like I can't plan more than 4 months into my future! my lease is up for renewal! ahh! how do ppl cope w this uncertainty??

and if anyone hears any NU news, holler

This is probably medium news for you -- someone on filmschool forums got in to Northwestern, and I was rejected after an interview, so you're almost certainly waitlisted. 

Obviously not the best possible outcome, but still a huge accomplishment, and if you haven't been rejected, that means that you still have a shot! They're probably waiting on people to accept/decline their offers.

thank you for the info, i didn't look at the film school stuff! ok i will keep waiting haha but i love potential context

None unfortunately. The only reason why I'm not going insane right along with you is because at least I know we're getting correspondence by Tuesday at the latest. Doesn't make the wait or the wondering about it any easier though. 

I do think they got back from Spring break this week. So maybe this one is for shoring up final thoughts.

Hi if anyone got an offer from Yale, do you mind post on the Results page? I’ve been waiting since my finalist interview on Sunday and they said “they’re quick with decisions”. I know being a finalist is a huge accomplishment and I understand everyone is struggling, nevertheless I still spent the last hour anxiously cry.

i’m in the same boat, still waiting and was told we’d hear results today. but i’m choosing to believe they were being overly optimistic about their timeline and that they’ll probably send them out tomorrow. best of luck to you! we’re almost through this one way or another

Well I saw the results page and someone was accepted. I was just dealing with the fact that I need to apply again and I can get through it. Best luck to you!

I knew I wasn't getting in because I hadn't received an interview request, but they did not need to inform me at 3:22 am!

Ngl was way too overjoyed to be receiving any update from any of the schools I applied to lol. Though I agree, the middle of the night is wild.

I also got rejected from UCSD! Now I'm at three rejections, one acceptance (Boston University for Screenwriting), and waiting on Hunter, Carnegie Mellon, and NYU (all probably no's since I haven't interviewed).

Out of curiosity, what made you apply to BU for screenwriting when you applied to playwriting for all the other programs?
