Should I Email POI Stating I Am Still Interested In Program (Currently on Waitlist)

Hello, 

I am currently on a waitlist for a Clinical Psychology program and I am wondering if I should email my POI just restating that I am still interested in the program and to also ask if there is anything I can do to help my application.
