TakeruK Posted April 21, 2017 Share Posted April 21, 2017 I use Facebook for personal interactions, not academic/professional ones. Sure, a lot of my friends are in academia so they are also on my Facebook, but I don't use this platform to project my "academic image". I use Twitter mostly for professional interactions. I keep a LinkedIn profile updated so that people who find me in this way can get the basic pertinent info and be redirected towards my research website.
