Is anyone still getting promotional emails from schools encouraging you to apply?! I am....wtf?

Yes, me too! The school that is has a very late deadline, which can't help either.

My name is phantom23 and yes, I too suffer from this horrible disease. When I surf, my Inbox is the first tabbed window in the line up and my eyes dart to it between intervals lasting a few seconds. Luckily, the time period between seeing the (1) (yes, it's never over 1 thanks to my affliction) and reading the mail is too short to inflict any real damage (I think I hold my breath during the entire process). And when I'm not surfing, I always switch back to my Inbox and the eyeball-flicking resumes ...

ARGHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

NOT TO MENTION the results website is bookmarked with the appropriate search query.

Some of us OR applicants suspect that Cornell/Columbia may be sending out their decisions this weekend or the next. We think Cornell (may be Columbia) may be sending out their rejections this friday, and their acceptances on monday...I am definitely not going to check my email this weekend (friday through monday). I dont know how that would be possible, seeing as how I check my emails like 30 times a day (more i think, definitely more)

Someone posted on one of my Linkedin Higher Education groups a question about applying to the same Ed.D program and to the same college where I have applied to. I got a notification about the post sent to my work email address and at first thought it was from the University that I had applied to. At first my heart stopped for a few seconds, then I realized it was not from my college but from Linkedin instead. Needless to say, I was so disappointed.

As of today, I have only heard that they are full for Spring semester and are considering me for Summer semester admission instead and that my application was complete and under review as of 02-25-2010. So, I am going crazy checking my email many times a day and still waiting.

I unsubscribed from about 8 mailing lists this week because I almost exploded with frustration every time I got a damn email from Victoria's Secret or whatever other stores are wanting me to spend money I don't have.
