Ibrahim Abdelgawad Posted December 25, 2017 Posted December 25, 2017 I want to ask how should I best address this question in the application form? "In your view, what strengths will you bring to the program? "
0 fuzzylogician Posted December 25, 2017 Posted December 25, 2017 Well, wouldn't it depend on your application? How can we tell without knowing you? butwhyisallthecoffeegone 1
0 ShewantsthePhD101 Posted December 31, 2017 Posted December 31, 2017 You tell them what strengths you'll bring to the program... Do you have a unique perspective other students won't have? Is your scholarly production high? Are you great at bringing people together? Just tell them what you're good at.
0 GreenEyedTrombonist Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 When applying to any program, it's important to not only think about what you'll get out of going there, but what the program will get out of admitting you. From what I've seen, programs want someone they feel will add to their prestige and contribute to things while there (and beyond). In what ways would you attending that school benefit them? How would you contribute to the department beyond the basic "do your work to earn the degree?"
