Thanks! I'll be sending them my acceptance of their offer tomorrow. Now to start figuring out funding...and attempting to pick up every single shift I can at both jobs all summer.

Got accepted to Grand Valley State University today, yay

Something that helped me increase vocab (by 7 points!) was really just studying test taking strategies. I looked at a few words but really it was the strategy I think that helped me. Or I just was a lucky guesser the second time, haha.

I'm glad I'm not the only one!!!! I think a reason I was denied from some schools is I've heard they're notorious for picking their undergrads/people from their state. And I didn't apply in-state since we only have one school in my state (Maine)

I had someone read my personal statement many times...I should have probably made her cookies with how much she went through it. Pittsburgh is full, Grand Valley State hasn't said anything-but I feel like nobody has heard from them when I look at the results board, so maybe it's not just me?

Congrats I got an email today saying the second tier of wait listed people a Loyola were picked...aka not me. This is crazy guys. I may really not be going to graduate school this fall.

It's just frustrating. I'm graduating in 5 days and I still don't know what I'm doing with my life.

I think what's most frustrating for me is I emailed a school-who had previously emailed me 3 weeks ago saying I'd hear soon-which I haven't. The email said "you're 'PROBABLY' denied." Seriously? this is ridiculous. Why not just tell me?

A few days later and I'm still waiting. This is ridiculous.

Eastern Arkansas Community college does biology online, I paid $700 total (including books and stuff) and the class was 4 hours. It has an online virtual lab but it's not terrible.

Honestly, I think if you go into this with "memorization" as they key, you will not do well. This field is all application, which is why I love it. You'll learn the anatomy-and then you'll learn the way it can influence you. You'll learn phonetics-and then use it while giving evaluations. You'll learn to do therapy, which you can't make up/memorize-it's all yourself. You'll learn about all the disorders that you will, at some point encounter. I think if you go into this field prepared to use the things you learn, and can make application to how it'll be in real life, it'll help you go far The coursework is "easy" for me, but only because I'm all about applying it to real life-things like history, which are more memorization, are not at all my strength.

I'm still waiting to hear from 2 schools and 2 waitlists. Sheesh, I just want to know what I'm doing with my life!
