  1. Hi! Theres a faceboook group the student's association has set up: DLSPH Students Entering Fall 2017 I haven't received additional info but I think setting everything up (ACORN, Email etc) relies on getting your card. I have not gotten mine yet but intend to before the end of next week. The calendar for the year is posted and can be found here. It has lots of helpful dates -- Registration opens August 9th! Looking forward to meeting you in the fall!
  2. Thank you! I called and emailed them in pure panic. Good to know someone got through!
  3. @monstera Hi-- I received an official offer on Weds after getting the unofficial one on the 28th and my SGS has changed I would email them to check in is anyone who got into u of t intending to apply for the global health specialization?
  4. I also got into Epidemiology at UofT. Im so thrilled (it was the only place i applied / wanted to go) . Congrats to the others who got in and are accepted-- can't wait to meet you in the fall! Best of luck to those still waiting!!!!!!
  5. Is anyone NOT doing the GRE when applying to uofT epi? I applied last year and was waitlisted and am applying again this year but found out THIS WEEK that they are recommending the GRE. Im a bit annoyed as I never would have thought to have to repeatedly check the admission requirements (from my understanding this has only been announced since fall). Im still feeling pretty silly that I am only finding this out now Im going to write it but if i do horribly I am thinking i may just not send results (especially considering I have about a week or less to prepare). Anyone else considering an application without these results?
  6. Has anyone heard anything from u of t that was wait listed? They say on the website that they make every effort to let people know by today but nothing has changed on my sgs and no email one way or the other yet. I know that they did mention during the webinar that it's possible to be on the wait list all summer. Anyone have any insights on this?
  7. I don't know the size of the health promo program. The Epi program is 45 though. I think thats about average if not a bit larger than previous years
  8. Hey did anyone attend the UofT epi webinar yesterday? I was in the one today and there were quite a lot of people (around 75? though I know some of the people were part of the school) I know the class size this year is 45, so just wondering if anyone has an idea of how big the webinar yesterday was, may give us a sense of the waitlist size... though based on today alone its a big one.
  9. Theres a lot of info in previous years forums talking about them both (the canadian MPH thread from 2013 if i remember correctly has a good discussion). From what I understand UofT has larger class sizes than most of the other schools. McGill tends to be more math based than UofT. I'm not sure if McGill has something similar but the webinar QandA thats coming up should be helpful, and might help you weigh your options!
  10. I also just got a waitlist email from UofT epi- It's the only place I applied so heres hoping it's a short list! Congrats to everyone who got in!
  11. Has anyone else heard from UofT epi?
