  1. Nope.
  2. Thanks for the info! One last question: is 15/16 credits a semester at PTS too much, or should I just stick to 12/13?
  3. Excellent! What sort of courses are usually waived? I've taken a lot of philosophy/religion classes as an undergrad, but I'm not so sure that many would correspond to some of these intro classes.
  4. Thank you for the info, I will take your suggestions when emailing them. Unfortunately they have not signed it. The school in question in Princeton Theological Seminary; Princeton University has signed it, but the Seminary is an independent entity.
  5. Hello all, One of the schools that I have been accepted to, and currently my top choice due to their funding, wants me to accept or decline admission by this Friday. While I would love to go to this school, I have still not heard from a couple other of my top schools. Has anyone else been in this position? What is the etiquette for asking for more time for decisions?
  6. Hello all, until I hear from other schools, PTS is currently the top contender, mainly because they're killing it with the financial aid. I heard from an alum that you can get out of certain required classes if you've taken similar classes as an undergrad (i.e. Intro. to Old Testament). Can anyone confirm this? If so how do you go about doing it? I ask because although I am considering ministry, my main goal is doctoral work and I would love the opportunity to take more classes that are relevant to my research interests. Also, general comments about life at PTS are much appreciated.
  7. Yeah it is an M* degree at the School of Theology. I'm not sure what specific program, but it has something to do with ethics and society.
  8. A friend of mine got accepted with 55% percent tuition the other week.
  9. Wow, thats a stellar deal from Wake Forest!
  10. Thank you for the info. Yeah, it would literally be 1/7 the cost to go to PTS, so thats sorta where I'm at now unless I hear something better from one of my top schools.
  11. Danke! The temptation is great, but unfortunately I'll probably have to turn it down, the cost of going to either of the other two schools I've been accepted to is significantly less.
  12. Accepted to Chicago's M.Div program. 50% funding.
  13. I was told that at the latest decisions would be out the first week of March.
  14. Its not just you, I haven't heard a word from them either.
  15. I guess he ran out of dead presidents to write about.
  16. Yeah, two of my recommenders were quite fond of submitting things the day they were do. I'd remind them the week before, then send them an email that day that it was due (if I couldn't catch them during office hours). I got them all it.
  17. Obviously the best Gospel, it got greenlighted for a sequel. Congrats on Loyola! I had an interview with BC (for the MTS) today.
  18. Got into Saint Louis today!
  19. I'm applying for the MTS. The application deadline was last Friday, maybe they did an initial meeting to weed out the people they didn't even want to consider? To be sure; also, no pants, obviously.
  20. Boston College emailed me today about an interview! Woo! Any tips Seatbelt Blue?
  21. http://www.firstthings.com/onthesquare/2012/11/ranking-theology-programs/rr-reno This has been done in the past with previous Reno rankings, but what do you all think about this?
  22. Its was about the same timeframe for me with PTS. Once everything was in it took about a week and a half/two weeks.
  23. Am I correct in assuming that only M.Div candidates have heard and not M.A.R people?
  24. Yes, the vocation of the barista truly is the dream of the liberal arts. Hopefully you too will recieve the call haha. I really think that "theologians" are natural baristas. Where I work there is another employee applying to graduate school for religious studies and a former employee is studying to be a priest at the Gregorian in Rome.
