I'm not convinced I won't be denied across the board. The difference between me and you is that I won't let it ruin my positive attitude and I sure won't make it another person's problem. I'll try again, harder the second time and with the same positive outlook.
I'm in the same boat as you, for the same school even. The way I picture it is that they will start admitting the irresistible candidates and continue forth and admit people as they see fit during the review process. I would tell you to not lose hope -- I haven't, yet.
Hey there, cuz! I laughed about the headboard-tapping thing! I woke up with a big cheesy grin on my face too, feeling all dandy and swell -- until it hit me that I was dreaming and I have yet to hear a darn thing from any school. My dreams have been cruel to me! Of all of them, I've dreamed of Berkeley the most... Best of luck.
Thank you! You've made me feel better. It's somewhat disheartening to see people getting decisions from the same schools and programs that you applied to and not hearing anything for days... and days...
My plan B is probably to apply for a teaching certification program, go to school for two years, and teach high school for awhile and reapply after I've had some time in my field.
We are appliCANs!
Take a deep breath, appliCANs. We've made it to February in one (or perhaps just a few) pieces.
Congratulations to all the appliCANs! You're experiencing something many people dread and ultimately avoid out of fear and anxiety. No matter what happens, we've already done the hardest part! Woohoo!
AppliCANs of 2013, rah rah rah! ♥
Ugh, was that you who posted that in the results? I saw that Vanderbilt wasn't accepting admissions due to budget cuts, and I mourned for all those who applied. I'm so grateful that I didn't finish my Vanderbilt application. They definitely need to refund the applicants' money. What a scam.
