Last night I had a dream that I was offered a fellowship to one of the schools I applied to... I'm thinking hallucination!

The SOP in French was the killer for me. I found myself translating one paragraph a day and getting burnt out.

Aww, so sorry to hear about your rejection. I have yet to hear back from Indiana. They should ask if you want a second copy -- I bet most people would say "NO THANKS!" Edit: Also, when did you submit your application? I think mine barely made the deadline. I wonder if that means they're going to take a little longer notifying me.

If I get accepted, I think I'm going to throw my boyfriend in the car and drive to Lake Tahoe to celebrate for a weekend. If I get rejected, I think I'm going to throw my boyfriend in the car and drive to Lake Tahoe to curse the universe.

Same for me. I'm the "genius" of the family (I use that term very loosely), and of course everybody assumes I will get in anywhere. It's hard to really express my concerns or frustrations about the programs because I always get the same thing back: "You have good grades. You'll get in!" I'm like, "...Sure, yeah." In my head, though, I'm screaming, "It's not about GPA! It's about essays, LORs, experience, and money, money, money!"

Looks good to me! I wouldn't count it as an acceptance yet; however, I would definitely say they are certainly putting you in the "winner" pile.

Err -- What about seeing people being accepted to your schools/programs in Results and still hearing nothing? I'm thinking omen. =(

Sorry to hear about your rejection. I've also noticed Michigan was sending an awful lot of rejections. You'll get something for sure! I still haven't heard a darn thing, good or bad.

My recommenders were all great. I was fortunate to have no problems during my application rush. Currently, I'm sitting wedged somewhere between "convinced I'm not going to be accepted anywhere" and "blissfully oblivious to the decision movement around me in hopes that I will be pleasantly surprised one day randomly." I've taken up a lot of time getting a new job, although that probably wasn't too wise since I doubt I will be able to get any time off in case of interview invites. I'm not expecting any decisions until mid-to-late February either way, so I shall kick back and watch shameful teen dramas and become better acquainted with the Starbucks staff in my new city.

Very true! Flights to ELP are usually not going to cause you to bang your head on the wall.

I saw that two of the schools I applied to -- UT Austin and UC Davis -- had one acceptance each in the results place. Hope this doesn't mean I wasn't accepted. I would be sad. I still haven't heard anything from anybody!
