Yay, I finally heard something back! I have an informal phone interview next week with a committee member at UF. only downside is they are accepting only masters with the chance to move on to doctorate. I'm so nervous.

Are you anxious to come back yet? To me, the time seems to be flying by since I was in France, but that might not be the case for the people who actually *stayed* in France for TAPIF instead of leaving last minute hehe.

Oh, I got this one last weekend: Them: Why didn't you apply to Brown? Me: Considered it, but their research interests weren't well aligned with my own. It's too competitive to risk. Them: But you probably would have gotten in pretty easily if you just pointed out that your last name is Brown and then pretend like you are a great, great, great, great, great granddaughter of the person it was named after. Me: Wow... Great idea. But not sure it works that way!

I think my Plan B is to come up with an impromptu Plan B in case of disheartening events/rejection. Until then, I've only got one plan: go to schooooool.
