  1. I informed GHD that I can only attend with full funding. So in the email offer, they directed me to a scholarship I could apply to for full funding and stipend. I'm working on that application now. I'm working on that application now.
  2. You can check out my profile I'm not Singaporean but the answer to your last question is no. Singapore has a compulsory 2yr national military service for all males aged 18 and above. After you complete yours, you are free to live in whatever country you like. It is an offence if you dont complete it and you leave the country with the intention not to.
  3. I need funding........................

  4. So what programs have you been admitted into so far?
  5. Kadisha, I thought MSFS decisions have been given already some time back. I saw a couple in the results page.
  6. I did. He said he couldn't find the email with the link. He was actually my backup. It's sad but where I come from, getting such reco's is not the norm. It was purely an issue of doing me a favour.
  7. I got the reject today. Not really surprised as my academic recommender did not send in his recommendation.
  8. True, it was a great sign. And I thank the Lord. The department email came today. The official grad sch offer will come later. It is also a great sign for the other decisions in the coming weeks.
  9. GTown GHD came in today, or yesterday depending on which continent.
  10. Your information only made the wait the more unbearable. Sorry, I can't help it. Btw, what is your take on GSPP program after 6mths? All you had hoped for and more, or just ok, or?????
  11. No, I have not. I suppose that information will be contained in the official offer of admission.
  12. @av260987 - i got the same email from Maxwell about a month ago. then sometime last week i got another email from the graduate school itself that they will only be able to send me the official offer of admission only after i have provided them with evidence of ability to fund my first year studies (USD60K+). and we all know funding decision will only come in after mid march. so if you are also hoping for funding to attend then maybe you should expect a similar email.
  13. That will be wonderful of you, WakeMeUp. Give us everything
  14. This waiting period is sooo unbearable!!!!

  15. first acceptance
  16. So after my interview (I made it categorical that funding was going to play a big role in my decision on which school to go to) with one of the school's I've applied to, the coordinator sends me an email asking if I could send her my updated CV or if she could use the one I submitted for application, so she could send it to some organisations for funding or intern opportunities. What do you think???
  17. I had my interview on Monday. Yeah, to some degree the newness of the program does give me a bit of concern!!!
  18. Schools Applying/Applied To: WWS,HKS, GSPP, Maxwell, WSFS, ESPA, Trachtenberg Schools Admitted To: n/a Schools Rejected From: n/a Still Waiting: All Undergraduate institution: Top university in Ghana Undergraduate GPA: 3.51 Undergraduate Major: Accounting GRE Quantitative Score: 160 GRE Verbal Score: 158 GRE AW Score: 3.5 (yuck!!!) Age: 28 Years of Work Experienc: 5+ Describe Relevant Work Experience and International Experience: I currently do not have any full-time direct experience in development policy and administration. But I have plenty of volunteer experience both during college and working. I worked with a Big 4 audit firm after college before moving into banking. I've travelled well in Africa and Asia, and currently working in Singapore. Languages: English + native (fluent in both), basic knowledge of German and Mandarin Strength of SOP (be honest, describe the process, etc): I have no direct experience that I can rely on to demonstrate my commitment to public service. So what I did was to talk about my volunteer experience both past and present, my international travel experience and essentially my reason for switching careers from accounting and banking to public service. Yes, I know, it took me five years to finally come to terms with the fact that that's where I belong. Strength of LOR (be honest, describe the process, etc): I have two strong professional recommendations from one supervisor and one talent manager. They were very enthusiastic about my decision and even encouraging regarding the expected switch in career. I'm not too sure about my academic recommendation though.
