I just woke up from a nap to start obsessivly checking my email again. Imagine my hopes when I saw a couple of "Br" words in the subject line. It must be Brandeis is getting back to me, right? Nope. Recipe for Braised Brussell sprouts. Cruel, I tell you. Too cruel!

I got my first response last week from the only school I applied to that had a December deadline. I was accepted for the Applied Math PhD program at Rensselaer Polytechnic. I can't even begin to describe what a relief it is to know that no matter what else happens, I have somewhere to go in the fall. (a decent program, at that) The rest of my deadlines were either yesterday or don't even come up until the end of the month, so I don't expect to hear from anyone else until February at the earliest.
