Question.. I talked to a program yesterday that I am on the waitlist and they indicated that the April 15th dead line only pertains to initial offers, not wait list offers. I did not want to sound like a bimbo so I did not ask for clarification, but does that mean that wait listers may receive offers AFTER April 15th? Ugghh.. The waiting is killing me!

The waived my app fee so that's a no go. I just feel so let down. This entire process has been such an eye opener, ya know. I did not contact the department because I had the tracking info from the overnight package I sent, and my adviser told me to basically leave the schools alone once I have applied. He said they are extremely bogged down and I should just let them be. Basically, don't be "that girl". I guess you live and learn. Oh, and the only reason I even found out about all this was I sent an email asking if all the interviews had been offered yet. That's when the responded saying that they had no app for me. But, the plot thickens.. dun.. dun.. dun.. She tells me they have no app for me but she somehow hows some of my info that was only supplied via the app process. Sounds to me like someone dropped the ball while entering my info or something. Guess there is no use crying over incomplete apps but shessh.. I guess the moral of the story is: Don't listen to anyone and go ahead and bug the crap out of admission offices.. Wait, no that's not it. Hmm.. Hand deliver all applications.. Nah.. I am sure there's a moral in here somewhere. Oh, I know. I am the most UNLUCKY individual on the face of the planet! I mean really, have you EVER heard of something like this happening before?

I cannot believe this!!! Since I had not heard from a particular program that I applied to, I emailed to find out if all the interviews had already been done. I get a response informing me that they have no record of my application. I have tracking that shows that they received the damn thing!!! So basically I'm screwed because someone on their end messed up!!! Has anyone else heard of this before? What else could I have done? I kept hearing people say that you are not supposed to bug the program and whatnot, but how else could I have prevented this from happening?!?! Sorry for the rant.. I am just TOTALLY shocked! Already had myself a good cry and everything Uggghhh.. This sucks!

@esotericorigin: Yes, that was their weird program.. My favorite part of that acceptance was the "funding". I was told that there were TA positions but they would not be awarded until AFTER the first day of classes. So, umm.. if I don't get a TA position then I am on the hook for like $40K in tuition?!?! Ummm.. No..lol.. So, how has the rest of your app season gone?

Accepted: University of Tulsa (Bumped down to Masters) Vanderbilt (Masters - But NOT in the department I even applied too.. How weird is that!) University of Nebraska - Lincoln (ALSO bumped down to Masters) Waitlisted: NCSU Interview: Louisiana Tech Rejected: Virginia Tech Assumed Rejection: UofH, Ohio University, University of Oklahoma Completely in the Dark: University of New Orleans - They had a late app date and I have seen no movement on the results board.. So, still hopeful!

Not to be a Debbie-Downer but, I live in Austin and UT's ed psych department has the reputation for being a bit of a mess. So I am not surprised to hear that they have not responded yet. I was interested in the Quant program (also through the Ed Psych department) and was sternly advised (by more than one professor) not to waste my time. Good school, sloppy program.

More results... Just got email from Louisiana Tech inviting me to interview. Yiipppeee!!! Feeling nervous as it is my 1st interview. (The other programs that accepted me did not have an interview.) Kind of a bummer that the interviews are the same weekend as the SWPA conference and I am presenting... How bad does it look to the conference people if I inform them that I will not be attending after all? (I am scheduled to do a talk/paper presentation based on an independent research study I did.) I am kind of bummed about the presentation but am way psyched about the interview!

Dang.. I kept reading people's post saying that were #1 on the wait list and blah blah blah..lol.. So I thought that meant there was a practical, ordered list.. dang..

I received an email informing me that I was on the waitlist at one of my chosen schools. I am wondering if it is considered a faux-pa, or if it will some how hurt my chances of admission, to ask where I am on the wait list? I'm dieing here..lol.. and they said that I won't know anything till the next month or so. Uggghhh.. So, where do we stand on simply ASKING where we are located on this wait list?

Dang... Son of a ... lol.. I was kind of hoping that it meant that I was on a wait list..lol.. That darn "results" section is going to be the death of me..lol..

So I was cruizing the results section today and saw that someone was rejected from North Carolina State University via website.. I also applied there yet I do know about a website to check status. I went to applyweb and nothing looks any different. Hmmm.. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Same thing happened to me. Mind if I ask your stats? GPA/GRE? I had lots of great "extras" and I was just wondering what everone else had.. Hate to say it, but Tulsa was my safety school, so now I am feeling pretty worried...

I am in a Biological Anthropology class right now and my prof. is from the UK and completed all of her schooling in UK. I cannot say for sure if this would be the same case for you, but it is at least a little bit of info

Hello All.. So how do I jump on board with "I'll show mine if you show me yours" CV mindset I would love a little feedback as I do not feel like I have been getting it from my apps..lol.. I applied to 10 and have only heard back from 1, though I see that another of my applied to schools has already sent out interview invites, so I think that is pretty certainly out. Oh well...

Seems they were low.. Though I found that the APA book wasn't really all that helpful as MUCH of the information was at odds with that found on the different schools websites. I saw on the Results Section board that someone had posted that they got in, so I was hoping to pick there brain on their GPA/GRE stats...

Just wondering what the stats were for those accepted in the University of Tulsa I/O program.. Seems the APA guide was a little off...
