That's weird. Someone on student doctor said they "knew" someone who got accepted into Uottawa. Don't they need to interview? Err. I called yesterday and spoke to grad secretary and she said by next week she hoped :/ I am not sure what is going on.

I can see it from both perspectives here. The former obviously the one anyone would want to accept if they were in a situation where they were funded, but had no acceptance. The later, because it makes sense, why would a school take you if they rejected you just because you were funded? I am hopeful that this won't be the case for me. That is, either I will be accepted and funded or rejected from both. Throughout my undergrad training, I have been told - if you publish or receive a scholarship you will have an open door anywhere. I am starting to believe this is not true entirely.

To be honest, I have not given up on Ottawa. No-one anywhere on the forums has posted anything about them (not even in the results section). Even on StudentDoctor nothing from those who applied (to clinical psychology program). Maybe it is because I have all my eggs in one basket, but I am not giving up that this week someone may contact me.

I am putting my life on hold. I totally understand how you feel. I am waiting to here back from a program I applied to, and I have decided to move to the city either way. However, my social life is going down the drain, because I know I can't make ties with anyone. It is bitter sweet.

I applied to university of ottawa - clinical psychology. I have not heard anything back yet.

Hi everyone, I was just wondering what your experience was for when you have received acceptance/rejection emails. That is, what time of day? Thanks.

One more thing. I talked to my professor at my university about the process. She informed me that they have a couple of these department meetings. In stage 1 - the professors discuss which students they would like to interview (according to their rankings - all the professors involved). At this point they are choosing who to invite for emails. At stage 2 - they have a department meeting to discuss the interviews they had and who they want to keep or not. So I guess the question is, which stage is the University of Ottawa (clinical psychology) at? Have they already sent out interview request? Or was this "Feb 15" meeting to discuss who they wanted to interview? I haven't seen any interview request in the results section... Has anyone been requested for an interview?

I haven't heard anything - but again, I only applied to ottawa
