Also, I wanted to vote some of these posts up, but I have reached my positive quota for the day.

No way! Congrats!!! So did you just check where you send your application from? So excited for you! I'll start checking mine now. Haha.

Well the dream job is just teaching at the school I've wanted a full time position in for five years. I've been on a semester to semester basis there every year but one, when I taught in a charter school. Now my boss is leaving and they are filling her space from within the department... leaving a vacancy. I was just told about it. But I'd be going to graduate school for ed policy and I'd really like to get more into the political end of education and do/analyze research and write books about it. I always figured that I wouldn't lose my teaching credentials by gaining more degrees so I could always go back... and if after a year or two (depending where I go to school ) I want to go back, there would always be a chance of another vacancy not taking 5 years to open. So I think school is still a clear victor here. Just funny how the second you move on, something comes back around to taunt you.

Maybe they really haven't made all the final decisions? Ugh. So you ever have that moment where you finally move on and that's when you get what you thought you really wanted? I was just told I'm a shoo-in for what was my dream job before I decided I wanted to leave for graduate school. Like I needed one more thing to figure out!!! Now I'm sitting here thinking is it stupid to pass up a great job to take out a bunch of loans for a career path that I don't know for sure is going to get me anywhere?

Hahahaha CQE! Love the parody. Well done. Ugh. Another day passes newsless. No financial aid. No grad assistantship. No acceptances or rejections. Fail.
-
Will do. But I have not heard a thing.

Thanks for finding that out! Useful info. Now if only I could know if I should be booking a flight or crying.....

Ugh! I've even been checking emails when I wake up in the middle of the night. This is getting crazy. But I mean TC decisions went out at a weird hour yesterday so you never know! I wish they'd say straight up in the email instead of making you go to the site. I have to pick my parents up from the airport today so that's two hours I won't be near a computer to check aaahhhhhhh........
-
Oh good to know!! I may have to pick your brain once I know for sure if I'm going there. I love the school and the program. Also, I did not get anything from TC so I'm thinking I am rejected there. I don't care so much about that. I just figure that if I get rejected from both Stanford and Columbia, my chances at Harvard are teeny. Tis OK. At least I'm in somewhere!! And somewhere great. Staying optimistic.

I didn't hear and I'm Ed Policy. I guess that probably means I'm not accepted
-
Also, that was a B. Not a sunglassed smiley face. Although it's cute.

Hmm mine still says status. This probably means nothing haha. Grrr I just wish they'd let us know. A) so I can figure out if I have to book a trip to Massachusetts in the next few weeks. So I can look at housing for Vanderbilt C) So I would stop having a heart attack every time I get an email from Bed, Bath, and Beyond.
-
Haha I've been "status" all day.
-
Don't get too excited. They will probably just say "Some time before March 25" even if they know decisions are coming out tomorrow. They want us on our poor little toes.
-
Good point. However, I keep checking this forum because it makes me feel connected haha.
-
I agree with Loseric. It would be ideal to be close to school so I'm not opposed to living in a dorm. I don't know anything about Boston living. I haven't been since i was in high school. It will be an interesting process trying to figure that all out if I do get in.

The housing application that requires a $30 fee to be submitted. I worded that weirdly. My apologies. I haven't had enough coffee today.
-
Anyone else think it's ridiculous that you have to fill out a resident fee before finding out if you're in? I'm gonna take my chances and wait to submit it.

So excited for everyone!!! As I drive through the remnants of yesterday's Chicago blizzard, I am loving noticing that it's gonna be in the 60s in Nashville this weekend, too. Oh Nashville... so wonderful you are. Just wish I'd hear about some money!!!!

Grrr I want to check mine but it keeps saying I didn't log out of my last session and it won't let me log in even though I closed the browsers and started again like it says.

Haha edcurious that was a hilarious string of GIFS. Thank you. I need to hear news. I'm going crazy. SOME news. Fin aid, grad assistantship, HSGE.... I won publisher's clearing house? That last one would be nice and make the first two less relevant. Pretty sure you have to register for PCH. And be 80.
-
Also, congrats!!!!!!
-
You mean where you can actually view your application?
-
Maybe HSGE does know. Maybe they are watching and laughing at us. Maybe it's going to be March 25 at 5:00 EST. But I'm gonna guess for Thursday at 3:05 and hope I'm wrong and that it's sooner.
