Just got waitlisted (LTD). So crushed.

I definitely didn't tell them that. I don't know if she has me confused with someone else she talked to at recruitment weekend or what.

I just got waitlisted. In the email, the director wrote, "I know you have other offers, so..." but I do not have other offers. Should I let her know this? Would it affect their chances of offering me a place should someone decline?

Yeah a lot of people in my program have already heard unofficial admissions from POIs, but mine has been dishearteningly silent. Every time my phone buzzes and it's just linkedin I have a mini heart attack.

Well, I think there are quite a few of us waiting still. And even when this torture does someday end, I don't see why this thread has to be abandoned.

Whew! I know this is not my field, but I am seriously relieved to see this and know that Tuesday is over (for this week anyway)!

Someone posted a rejection phone call on the results page for PhD in LTD. If you are lurking here, I would love to know if you were interviewed and who called you to let you know your status.

I believe I got financial aid information a little after my acceptance, but I don't believe it was a terribly long wait.

When is admitted students' day?

I only applied to one school (location + fit made it my top choice by a longshot), and got an interview, but feel like I blew the interview. I got so nervous I could hardly interact other than robotically asking the questions I had memorized. I'm on such pins and needles. Now every time I get an email and it turns out to just be from uber I want to throw my phone. --just wanted to add to the whine thread of this thread with people who feel my pain. Someday soon this torture will be over.

Definitely a good sign. Now you have a chance to show that you've refined your responses!

For what it's worth, when I was accepted to the masters program in 2013, my funding letter (2/3 tuition) actually came before my acceptance, in January. It was quite confusing, but in a good way. I don't think that means you're out of luck if you didn't receive one, though. At the admitted students weekend it sounded like a lot of assistantships and research-based jobs were available.

TC won't provide any funding anyway. If you get any from UVA, go there.

Did you log in and look, or are you waiting for an email? I've heard of the emails being delayed sometimes.

I definitely wouldn't give up! They really do look at apps holistically.

What program are you applying to? PhD? EdD? MA? MAT? and in what?
