  1. Where have you found ones for people who want to be teachers? If you don't mind sharing
  2. I found a run-on sentence in my SoP. Somehow Vanderbilt still wanted me. I can only hope HGSE is as generous.
  3. I was notified that I received a 2/3 Peabody Honors Scholarship on January 23, in the same email in which I was accepted. Completely unexpected and exciting!!
  4. At the visitation day they said 70% of Peabody students receive some kind of funding, and that there are 350 assistantships available.
  5. Does anyone know about Learning & Teaching?
  6. I had a similar experience. My email came on January 23, and a phone call yesterday, but as of yet I have not yet received any formal mail.
  7. Oh, I just realised you're going for EP. Well, my offer still stands on the school.
  8. PM me next week and I'll give you my thoughts on Peabody. Are there any particular questions you'd like me to ask?
  9. My invitation from WashU says business casual. I know nothing of other schools though.
  10. I'm in the exact same boat m26. I didn't study at all for it--was too busy teaching. I just thought I would take it to see how I would do. Opened the prep book in the parking lot about a half an hour before the test. Also didn't do my research or start my SOP until after fall break. I had intended to wait a year to apply to grad schools, then after reflecting over fall break decided I'm ready to learn NOW. But I feel so behind, and like I did not at all put my best foot forward! I like to be more prepared than this!
  11. Very helpful. Thank you!
  12. This is probably an extremely ignorant question, and I apologise, but I must ask nonetheless. Are there many opportunities for joining research projects as a masters student? I know that HGSE has the field experience program, but I cannot find much at the other schools I've applied to. There is a project I am interested in at Vanderbilt, but I was told they only accept PhD students. Is this fairly common?
  13. I got accepted to Vanderbilt's Learning, Diversity, and Urban Studies program, and received a Peabody Honors Scholarship (2/3 tuition). Stanford emailed me and told me they didn't have all my letters of recommendation yet, even though I received emails from their system telling me each of them had been submitted.
