  1. Natural thinking zone? Wat? The only thing I think about is stream or pellets. Floating or sinking. One fold two fold , cuz don want that finger to break through yo. Sometimes I'm forced to contemplate why it didn't come out normal. And 100% of the time my cat barges in or sticks his hands under the door. Too much going on to be reading
  2. man you really don't want to be a DI's bitch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9_vxOK0KXhs

  4. inglorious bastards was an excellent movie, with many scenes that I like but I have to hand it to Titanic. I mean I was like 6 years old watching my first American movie. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XKqGefSxFyc
  5. apple juice, but like not too much of it otherwise I'll pass out
  6. pinch flats can be easily mitigated by running high psi. thats why I run 115+ even on 25 tires, and put baby powder each time I put on a tube to make sure nothing's caught. most of my flats are caused by debris cutting my tire, which I can later remove and patch up. some of these gashes are like 1/4", whch you cant patch up with the sealant, or can only be accessed from the inside (like wires). you must encounter those every once in a while. and I never throw away tubes.. all of mine have at least 2 patches on it, some proly as many as 4 or 5. I have around 6 tubes in rotation, and they wont be retiring until they're at least 15 patches in, or until we colonize Mars. but clinchers are what I know, and I think they require less maintenance. ymmv
  7. you need two layers of glue on the rim and one layer of glue on the tubular, with 24 hours of curing time in between, and then a final layer when you put the two together. That's how you get even distribution. You can try to short cut it by doing one layer each, but that still takes two days for curing to take place. You can do tape, but I've heard that ruins your rim, and the bonding is nearly as secure... I want to feel safe when I'm cornering doing 25..
  8. right, 26 is generally for mtb and hybrids, although nowadays mtb are using 29ers, btw gnomsky, how much are you paying to attend UW? They let me into their master's program. I looked at their out of state tuition and fuuuucccckk
  9. I would advise against tubulars. they're generally used for racing due to their rounder profiles, which is nice for crits. but they're a huge PITA to maintain, and they're not nearly as common as clinchers. the mechanics at the bike store said they never mess with tubulars. It takes 3 days of multiple layers of glue to properly put on a tubular, (you shittin me?). no I wouldn't use them for anything else other than racing.
  10. GP4000s definitely roll better than gatorskins, and probably won't cost you very much wear. They're really well rounded and people use them for commuting, training and racing alike. I did have a piece of glass pierce right through it the other day though, but that's the kind of trade off you get when you take out the Kevlar layer from the gatorskins. check out probikekit. I got my schwalbe tires from them, and they're 25. I don't like riding with anything more than 25.
  11. gator skins are overrated imo. they're good against sharp rocks, but still prone to wires. if you really want durable tires, get schwalbe marathon. you can pretty much tread a mine field with those things. my friends always ask me why I have a big ass cross tire on the rear wheel of my training bike, and I just smirk because I know I'll never get a flat in that wheel.
  12. 70 psi on 25 tires is running high risks of pinch flats. I'm 165, and I would run at least 100, if not 115 on 25s. If comfort is a real issue, consider 28 tires, (assuming they fit the frame) otherwise, htfu also, it's not a bad idea to invest in a good saddle. in your situation, I'd say the best investment you can make on your bike is a saddle that's comfortable and supportive. a bad saddle can cause lower back pain and restrict penile blood flow leading to numbness and sores... we wouldn't want that now would we?
  13. Typing on a phone is a pita
  14. Dixie likely Already have 25 tires just need to get used to it. You're not dAmaging the bike
  15. subscribed HEHEHEHEHEHE I think I just realized why I never clean my apartment. Why the F bother if it looks the same everyday you come back?
  16. I've had a rather pathetic upbringing, where my parents wanted me to be one of those school nerds, get straight A's, go to private school, and become a doctor. I resisted with every fucking fiber of my being by participating in sports, because I actually liked it. But the cost of it all was that our household became extremely dysfunctional, which caused a ripple effect in my personal/family life as well as my academic career, some of which I believe still affects me to this day, with grad school admissions in particular. I have some terrible grades on my college transcript that I don't know how to explain in a professional manner other than something along the lines of "due to personal reasons" or something vague. I could've been a good nerd, but there are nerds who are born that way, and then there are sock puppet nerds whose parents got their hands so far up their asses that it builds a bubble until the bubble bursts. I refused to be a latter. Sometimes, tiger mom tactics work, but I won't be taking any part in it.
  17. according to that list, I was a nerd... fuck!

  19. I'm only planning to get mine vaccinated. Veterinary clinics aren't exactly the money making kind of business, and I find that a lot of them try to sell you more than you really need. You can't really blame them. I think the FLV vaccine is permanent, and rabies, along with a few other vaccines are one each year. As for heartworm, I wouldn't really worry about it if it's an all indoor cat. I believe most of these things are transmitted through mosquitoes, maybe fleas? Im not too worried about it
  20. only rookies prematurely thank
  21. I had a stray, which is pretty much what you would get from a shelter, as my first pet. like Eigen said, we were tight, but he ran away. I'm not sure why, whether something happened to him, or he just chose thug life over me, but I decided to get two kittens. I found two on craigslist from a couple who couldn't take care of them, and they just gave them to me. because there were two of them, they could keep each other busy, and unleash all kinds of hell on each other, while I could just be sitting there minding my own business. It's been almost a year since I got them, and they're the best companions ever. Junior would wait for me as I enter the door everyday I come home from work. Oreo, who's having to live with my friend for a while due to this dumbass 1 pet policy at my current apartment, pretty much sees me as a parent. She's not adjusting very well, but I visit her 2-3 times a week, and it's nice. She'll respond every time I call out to her, when she's scared and hiding. I didn't think taking care of kittens required too much attention. I would be gone for 9-10 hours/day, and they'd be fine. Just put in plenty of litter, have a scratch pad for them to play with so that they don't mess up your furniture, and make sure the place is suicide proof (eg, no rat poison laying around, low hanging wires or anything like that).
  22. I have bad experiences when I eat dairy stuff before cardio
