I would consider what you were doing very much related to social work!!!

Even though I know that U of T results won't be sent out until April 15th I am constantly checking my file online and my mailbox in the hopes that MAYBE some magical answer will be there. This is driving me insane.

PS honestly everyone in this forum should get in. If you are determined enough and care enough to constantly follow-up on a forum like this then you display the passion and drive that social workers should have. Each one of you will be a fantastic social worker. Please, if you do not get in this year (and that would be the institution's loss) do not give up. The world needs more individuals like you as social workers.

does anyone know how important the research course mark is at U of T? Does it hold a lot of weight?

Apparently this year they were looking for 2-5 years work experience. They had a lot of applicants who met the B+ with 2 years work experience and so they took people who had more than that requirement. And I completely agree with the references and the essay.

I will be 24 by the time the school year starts. I am glad to see the age range!

While I completely agree that these conversations need to be held in class and that they are fantastic to have, the professor should be acting as a mediator and not a biased individual spewing hatred to other students. Now whether this entire story is true or not I am not certain. But a professor needs to take all sides into consideration as well. I cannot imagine how uncomfortable the Jewish students in the class must have felt- particularly if they had family in the Holocaust.

Don't apologize. This is a very important discussion. I find that absolutely disgusting. Wow. I never want to see that professor. As a Jewish individual myself I am appalled. What in the world??

Angela just told me that she has no idea why we were sent that residence email and that it has nothing to do with the MSW office. She stated that results will be going out on April 15th as someone previously mentioned.... As to why U of T would send out a housing email to everyone and get their hopes up is beyond me.

Hi! Yeah I feel your pain. Don't worry it is almost over. I too think she meant April 15th is the last date possible. Maybe she wants to avoid getting a huge influx of calls if she says they will be sent out earlier and people freak out when they don't get anything?
