  1. Here is the U of T 2-year FB page: https://m.facebook.com/groups/1409622202637326
  2. Congratulations!! I look forward to meeting you in September!
  3. Ok! Tell me if this works. This is the U of T 2-year group for the class of 2016! https://m.facebook.com/groups/1409622202637326?view=info
  4. Just received my U of T admission package!! Yay!!! Can't wait to meet everyone!!
  5. The numbers must have gone up quite a bit since the information session. I know that for the 2-year program this and last year there were over 800 applicants. Not sure about the 1-year.
  6. I worked for 3 years after undergrad. I think it can definitely help.
  7. Yes they do. I believe if you are currently in school you need to maintain a certain GPA.
  8. Last year there were 140 spots for the 2 year. Hopefully that helps!
  9. Unfortunately all I know about are the acceptance packages. I know last year people got acceptance, waitlist and rejections around the same time. I would assume they were all sent out but I have no idea. That's just based off last year.
  10. Congratulations!! Acceptance packages were sent out yesterday. I was also waitlisted last year and it is my third time applying to grad school. There is definitely hope for everyone!
  11. Maybe once we get the letters we should make a FB group to get to know each other etc.?
  12. That is so kind of you to say. Thank you so much. I am a true believer that if you want something bad enough and you keep persevering it will work out. I also believe that things work out the way they should. In all honesty, being waitlisted last year and the ultimate rejection put life into perspective for me. Prior to that I really rested everything I had on this MSW. I honestly put all my self-worth into getting accepted. When I didn't I decided to reevaluate things. I started realizing just how much I had in life and just how fortunate I was. I also started realizing that if I wanted it badly enough and if it was meant to be that it would happen eventually. And that really calmed me down. I decided to live in the moment and not put all my self-worth into getting to this program. Even this year I knew that if it didn't work out I would keep on going and constantly persevere so that I could live out my dreams. Downfalls are not failures. They are the gas that keeps us going. At least that's how I see it. You are not a failure if you are waitlisted or rejected. You are not hopeless. Just keep your head up and it will work out. Best of luck to everyone. I believe in all of you.
  13. Thank you very much. I hope so! As the 1 years said- I won't believe it until the package comes!
  14. It is VERY possible that they are inputting into the system. Do not lose hope yet. Just because something was up there for me does not mean that they are finished everything. If they are sending packages out on Monday then they are most likely going to be working on this until then.
  15. A) it hasn't been confirmed yet. I'm trying to contact admissions. B don't give up hope yet!!!! This just happened. I checked this morning and nothing was there. Also I was waitlisted last year and nothing was there. You never know. Please don't give up hope.
  16. So I just checked ROSI... My status has been changed to invited. I am in shock right now...
  17. Hello everyone, I was quite active on this forum last year but have been watching most of this year. It is so close to the acceptance/rejection/waitlist date that I have decided to come back on here! I was waitlisted for the 2 year MSW last year at U of T and after what felt like the longest summer waiting, I was ultimately rejected. This year I decided to apply to a school in NYC for my MSW as well as U of T and I am thrilled to say that I was accepted to the NYC program. Unfortunately, the program is EXTREMELY expensive and I am not sure that I will be attending. This is my third year applying to graduate school and my second year applying to an MSW. I have to congratulate KatRousi for staying so positive and really following her dreams. I have to agree that if this is what you want and if you are not accepted this year or haven't been in the past then keep following your dreams! It will happen eventually- at least that is what I strongly believe. To answer Meg3's post: U of T sends out a letter in the mail- they do not send out emails. The 2 year program accepts 140 students and last year I believe there were around 800-900 applicants (not sure on this year's number). I am anticipating next week's results and, as many of you, I am checking ROSI constantly. Nothing up on my end either. Best of luck to everyone. If it doesn't work out this year just keep going. It will work out the way it should.
  18. That's actually the one thing I think can be improved upon. I was only working with my boss for 6 months when she wrote me my reference and this year she knows me a lot more and I'm sure will write me a better letter. In addition I had another letter from a social worker I am working with but I didn't know her too well either- and now I know her very well. So same thing. My final one was from my thesis prof so I will use him again. I'm sure that one was good. Thank you for all your support and kindness!!!
