Just want to clarify because I have seen two posts about this now- Not getting an invite to Ryerson Interview Day should be assumed as a rejection? Anyone know?

Ah, I see. Thanks! I'm thinking offers will go out next week too since 24-26 was interview weekend. Last year they seemed to have gone out pretty quick

Has anyone else emailed their POI about western and if invites have been sent out? Mine just said the committee met last week and they should get in touch soon (this was over the weekend). But he isn't on the list of accepting faculty anymore so not sure..

Last year, a number of faculty at York told me they were accepting before the deadline but then said after that they weren't (not that they couldn't). Really turned me off to york. I really hope the same kind of thing doesn't happen with uwo. :/

Students who are short-listed will be invited to an Interview Day. Interview Day will be held on Friday, February 5, 2016. If you are short-listed you will be contacted via email shortly after January 21st. Found this about UWO on their website.

The number of faculty accepting seems to have changed a lot during the process. Do you know when their interview weekend is?

Emailed admin person at UTSC to ask about this weekend and was told "you will not be participating in the interview weekend but your application is still under consideration" whatever that means... :/

I would definitely go if I got an invite I'm just confused whether it is a next step or not to get that invite and a bit confused at the ryerson rejection that was posted. TIme will tell I guess !

I had a Skype interview recently too but not sure if I should be hearing back about Interview Day if I've made it to the next phase. My POI made it seem like it was a day for people to get familiar with the campus and if I wanted he would just schedule some time to show me around himself. So confused..

Someone posted an assumed rejection on the results page because they didn't get an in-person invite following a skype interview. Could they be right?!? Coz I'm in the same boat

Has anyone heard back from (or know someone who has heard back from) UTSC following an interview or about interview weekend? Just a little worried since it is supposed to be this Sunday, from what I understand.

I don't think you would set up the meeting unless you had any questions so I think you are safe there. Not having any additional questions at the moment is completely fine. I would just send a thank you email to the POI for their time and such. I don't think it would come across as a red flag. Did you ask a few questions during the interview itself- to get to know the lab and the way the POI works and such? If so, you should be okay. Usually there are visiting days (for the program or can be arranged with POI) following an initial interview where you can get much more info if needed! Congrats on the interview

I am wondering if anyone has any insight into this- I know at UTSC, it has to be a unanimous decision among core faculty members for someone to get an offer. Is the process similar at Ryerson and UWO or is it more so if your POI thinks you're a good fit and recommends you, you are basically in?

I'm in the same boat! Feel like one of my interviews could have gone much better especially when I was asked a specific question. But I also feel we are the hardest on ourselves, so I would be willing to bet you did better than you think
