  1. I believe that all the schools for SLP do not use any other post graduate course in the calculation of GPA. They look at it as an asset and may help with the application, but all the schools only calculate GPA using undergraduate courses. It helps to have a masters in something, but they don't use those courses in the GPA calculation.
  2. Yes, i know, but i do not see where to take the free exam
  3. Hello Everyone, i figured that i start a this topic of conversation. If anyone hear about new SLP grad programs kindly list them here so we all know about them for those of us hoping to get in somewhere.
  4. How do you find the Manhattan free practice test? I have an account, but i can't seem to find where the practice test is.
  5. This whole process is extremely stressful. Did everyone take all the different prerequisites required for each school? Like taking prerequisites from all the different schools doesn't guarantee acceptance. I am getting depressed over this whole process. I feel like i have to take all the prerequisites from all the different schools because focusing on one school isn't a guarantee. I really do not want to take all of these courses. Any insights? HELP!
  6. Thank you nins. This is very helpful.
  7. Hi nins, But is it a Full-year Statistic course or just a half-credit course? Also, i have to make sure that it will be accepted by all the Canadian Schools. Thanks.
  8. Thanks, but i really do not want to take an online class. WES is the World Education Services. A lot of the US schools wants a course by course evaluation to make sure that international students have the equivalent education. Some schools do not require it as they will do it themselves, but majority of them wants this.
  9. Anyone knows where i can take a statistics course? I need to re-take it as i did not do well when i took it duringmy undergrad. I need to take a full-year course. Any help would be appreciated.
  10. McGill and Western do not require the GRE, and they would not look at it at all. Only two schools in Canada require the GRE and that is Dalhousie University and University of Alberta.
  11. Magoosh is the best by far for both Quant and Verbal. I have used their verbal, and it is really good. Manhattan is good too.
  12. Yes, Second time applying. I am getting old and would love to get this done as well. I am also taking the GRE middle of October, and i am terrified. ah.
  13. I was wondering the same thing. I have decided to write the GRE, and i write in October. I am hoping to apply to Dalhousie, as well this year. I applied to U of T last fall and was unsuccessful. There is no minimum score for the GRE for both Alberta and Dalhousie which makes it difficult because of course they will look at the highest scores possible.
  14. Thanks for the advice. I will try to keep calm, and will let you all know the outcome.
  15. McGill looks at your last 60 units as well.
  16. How would a school know if you do not submit all your transcripts from every school? I find it hard to believe that they can find that information out.
  17. I am talking about the last 60 units so with your GPA you are fine with U of T.
  18. I also cannot cram for anything at all. I am also the type of person that writes 1 paragraph of a paper a day for a week. This even makes me worried about the two essays i have to write on the GRE. I am a little terrified of it. I don't know how i can write two essays in 1 hour. I have been studying for a couple of hours a week as well since middle of April and my test is booked for middle of October.
  19. FYI the test cost $200.00 for Canadians and not $150.00
  20. I have come to realize that there are no Canadian Schools that accept anyone with a GPA lower than 3.7 correct? It seems like all the accepted students have 3.7 and above GPA. So basically is it a waste of time trying to apply if your GPA is lower than a 3.7?
  21. Thanks everyone for your response
  22. FYI GRE scores are only good for 5 years. There are no exceptions to this rule.
  23. Hi everyone. Does anyone know if the test makers themselves have a vocabulary word list? Thanks
  24. Go with Magoosh. They are the best. And if you have more time study Manhattan Flash Cards.
  25. Just a note. CASLPA has changed its name and it is now called SAC: Speech Language & Audiology Canada.
