From my understanding one of my undergrad prof's mentioned that there is no research that states that GRE is predictive of how well you will do in Grad School. The GRE is really how well you take the GRE. Some people believe it is and some believe it isn't. So i will assume that the schools that require the GRE believe that it is predictive and the schools that do not require it believe that it is not a predictor. However, The schools that require the GRE seems to be more than the schools that do not require it.

thanks. I will do that

Is Monmouth University a new program? If so, how do people find out about new programs?

What makes you different? What sets you apart?

autismadvocate, Cookie bite Sensorineural Hearing Losss: Imagine the shape of a cookie after someone has taken a bite from it. It is a type of sensorineural hearing loss. It describes how the curve looks in an audiogram. The person has problems hearing mid frequency sounds -
Oh okay. Cool thanks

Can you email the school? I sent a message through Secure Applicant Messaging (SAM). But do you know who you can contact directly at U of T? Do you have the info?

I didn't know that the university themselves will calculate the GPA again. The what will be the purpose of ORPAS doing it? I think Canada is crazy in that they wouldn't consider your courses taken as a study abroad. U of T has an evaluation center where you can ask them to evaluate your study abroad courses for academic purposes to Canadian standard of education. They have one for work and one for academic. I have the same problem where i went back to school to repeat several courses and take some new courses as well after my degree and they used only those courses as my sub gpa. But those course are only 14 half courses so instead of them continuing down using my courses from when i completed my degree they didn't. I don't understand.

SLP GRAD SCHOOL HOPES~DREAMS~GUESSES THREAD
Persis replied to twinguy7's topic in Speech-Language Pathology Forum
The are some schools in America that looks at your last 2 years. They call it last 60 hours. West Texas A & M university only looks at the last 30 hours which is your last year. Also, Some American schools only look at CSD GPA. -
Autismadvocate, I am Canadian. My undergrad is in CSD. So, i am not sure what i will do my post-bacc in. I have done all the requirements in CSD Also, in Ontario Canada we have a one year post-graduate certificate program in CSD to become a Communicative Disorders Assistant a.k.a. SLPA. I completed that and i worked for two years. My GPA for that was 3.55, but in Canada they do not consider it. In fact they look down on it just like people were saying they look down on SLPA. So at this point i am not sure what else to do.

FYI future Canadian SLP's. CASLPA has a new name & Logo The Canadian Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year! As part of that celebration, the association, which represents over 5,000 speech-language pathologists and audiologists across Canada, has officially changed its name and logo. The new name is Speech-Language and Audiology Canada (S-A-C).

Lol! I don't think that is the case. In your case, you will have the advantage of recency effect.

Yes, i got that on Thursday as well. I don't think it's a sign, it is just benign lol

Correction, Canada has one school that offers a degree in Communication Disorders. Brock University in St. Catharines Ontario. It is called Speech and Language Sciences. We also have one in Sudbury, but it is only offered in French.

Yeah, transcript at my school is $12.00. But, i thought it is a waste of money since all my other schools that don't use CSDCAS required double transcripts. One for the graduate school and one for the communication disorders department which i think that is nonsense. -

No, you are not being rude. I like CSDCAS too, but how would do academic upgrade, you will still have to send another transcript after your fall grades get posted don't you? -

I am in the same situation, and I am getting really upset with this nonsense. What is the purpose of applying to CSDCAS then if your information has to wait four weeks to be confirmed. I have missed two deadliness myself and I not at all pleased.
