Are the vocabulary list at the back of the Manhattan TC/SE book the same as their flashcards?
-
Did you only study the 150 most common vocabulary words in this book or did you study more words from somewhere else?
-
Oh ok. It makes sense. i didn't know that they do it that way. So in it will be to our advantage if that was to be the case. Thanks

I am a little confused. Why would they take an average of a semester. My understanding is they start counting from the top until they reach 20 credits regardless of when the course were taken.
-
Perphaps you are using Power Prep I which is the old one. You need to use Power Prep II which is for the new GRE.
-
The start from the top of your transcript (all transcript from the most recent) and count backwards until they reach 20 credits.

Yes, that discount has been there since April. They just keep checking the dates. No use buying it now if you don't need it as it is only for 6 months and not a year.

Does the manhattan 5Ib book comes with the 6 online practice test or just the 8 books?. I bought the 5Ib book and registered online, but i do not see the 6 practice test.

I am in the same situation. I have been studying for one month now and i have only been studying vocab and trying out some questions, but i feel inundated. I have no idea what to do. This GRE thing is not easy to deal with. I even feel scared to go write it as i feel like my score will be abysmal.

Persis replied to ashlee_liu31's topic in GRE/GMAT/etc
Check out Magoosh. They have a blog and vocab Wednesdays on You tube. Appearantly, the GRE test secondary definitions. -
Thanks, i have already seen this, but it doesn't give me the combined score of 1000 that i am looking for.
-
Hi Everyone, 1000 on the old GRE is equivalent to what score on the new GRE? Thanks.
-
I see. Yes, that is not very nice if she gave you false information.

twinguy, so which one applies to West Texas AM? Do they take their own students or they don't accept people with your stats? Do you know for sure?
-
Thank you. DeafAudi was kind enough to lend me her login info for Magoosh, and i have been using it. It actually expires at the end of this month. I have already downloaded the app as well. Thank you.

10% for each reference which equals 30%

I received this information from a friend who is currently in the program at U of T about how U of T ranks their applicants: 50% is based on your grades 10% for each reference letter (2 profs and 1 SLP) 10% for your clinical experience 10% for your statement of intent They use this to give your application a score and then they rank people that way.

How did you do the word map? Like did you use an actual map and if so where did you get it from?

For those that applied to Dalhousie and got accepted can someone tell me what they wrote about for the personal statement? Describe your most valuable learning experience? I am not sure what to really write about. Any ideas?
-
NP problem. Thank you. I will do that.

Sorry, about previous message you already answered that. I meant to ask about the prereqs. Do you know if they will accept them if they were taken 10 years ago? You mentioned that they look at them regardless of when they were taken?
