  1. Rejection stings, I know. When I got mine from Cornell it sucked. But what some wise people told me on here (thanks guys): having perfect GRE scores, a great GPA, and research experience isn't all they look at. They look at program fit too. Maybe they thought your interests didn't quite align, or funding is low this year, who knows. Don't stress out wondering why, take it from me.
  2. People are in the office today, just got emails back from UConn and Hopkins program coordinators. They don't review until next week, though. Maybe other people are working too??
  3. What I plan to do is just to schedule them in the order they were received. Schools that send later invites should (I hope) be more understand of conflicts. Also, as my dad has been telling me every day "don't count your chickens before they hatch". Work with what you have and if you get that Weill Cornell interview, then figure it out.
  4. I was doing well for a few days there and now I am having anxiety again! I'm excited for the new year so hopefully I can get some interviews and acceptances. Already having anxiety issues + applying to graduate school = no bueno.
  5. There's still Monday! If people are working. Has anyone talked to the Princeton people?
  6. My instinct says BBSB will too since they didn't send them all in one wave like Harvard did. Fingers crossed anyway!
  7. I still haven't heard from Yale BBSB either, if it's any consolation.
  8. I got an email asking for my missing LOR that said they don't start reviewing until Jan 6th. They had the latest deadline of anyone for me.
  9. Thanks! Maybe Cornell's a no then. Planning on emailing them post new year.
  10. Yay biophysics! Did you apply to Hopkins biophysics by chance?
  11. Do you remember when about you heard from Cornell? I applied to BBSB and got rejected and sent to biophysics (my second choice.) Apparently they won't email me another rejection though so I was wondering when interviews are normally sent.
  12. I thought someone had called and they said interviews would go out today? Not sure. I've just counted it out for my own sanity. Based on that though it seems like you could receive an invite up until January 15th.
  13. Until we get rejections or until April 15th. Sometimes schools send them late depending on who accepts and what not.
  14. I'm expecting one from PiBS hopefully soon... They sent me an email right after I submitted because I was an "extremely competitive candidate" but they had none of my LORs. Except the online system said they had been submitted? Glitchy. Also my GRE scores just got sorted out there, so the interview may be delayed. I've stopped worrying haha. I got all my anxiety out with my Cornell rejection. Now I'm just waiting it out.
  15. I'm sure they do. No idea how. A couple of my programs asked for just my junior and senior year GPA, did any of yours?
  16. They have to pick somehow... Idk, at least for BBS it seems a lot of people had top GPAs and GREs. Every program is a little different in how they evaluate. I figure the more applications means the more they go off numbers. A lot of research experience could make up for low numbers too.
  17. From what I can tell on the results page it looks like all of the acceptances have higher GPAs and GREs than me. Makes sense haha. Congrats you guys!! It almost makes me feel better when there's a direct numbers reason for not getting an interview. Weird.
  18. Nothing here either. Woooooo.
  19. I took the practice biochem GRE and bombed horribly. Cried, reevaluated my life, then skipped it to play a rugby game. I figured hey, if they reject me because of that, whatever.
  20. Still in the no interview club. You're not alone!
  21. Meant Harvard not Boston. Working 8 hours a day again is draining my brain.
  22. Also waiting on Tufts ISP and Harvard BBS. Waiting on Boston but PiBS. Supposedly well be hearing from Boston tomorrow... I'll think ill faint if I actually get an interview there.
  23. What Boston programs are you waiting on?
  24. Congrats to whoever got the Princeton mol bio invite!
