  1. Hey Grad friends, So I was wondering what the deal is with checking you application to see if it has magically changed to "accepted." So far, I have had one acceptance - where they emailed me directly to tell me I was in, and two rejections - both of whom sent me the dreaded "a decision has been made on your admission so check your application" email. I have been refraining from checking the status of my application because, firstly, I don't want to drive myself (more) insane and, secondly, because I guess I somehow got it in my head that they will email me directly if I'm accepted. Does anyone have any insight? Should I actually just be constantly checking my application status??
  2. I had the same issue. I have emailed them to ask but they haven't responded....
  3. Hi everyone wow I'm glad I'm not the only one who has just been having one long and constant panic attack for the last month. I was wondering if anyone else interviewed with University of Virginia who applied there? Last week I skyped with the two professors that I would work with and I have no idea how many people they are doing that for. They were SO nice and I really want to get accepted. But just a reminder guys, everywhere has to notify us by April 1, so we have less than 2 months of this hell left!!!
  4. Thank you so much; that last post got me worried and I actually graduated from Michigan (although undergrad is obviously very different than grad)...
  5. Hi Everyone, I'm currently going through the horrible process of deciding which grad schools to apply to for art history. I am mostly applying for my Masters, although my ultimate goal is definitely my PhD, so I am a little on the fence about whether I should also apply for some of those. I have quickly discovered that the grad school application process is not at all like the one for undergrad. It seems just about impossible to predict whether or not you have a good chance at admittance. So, does anyone have any suggestions for schools they would generally consider "Safeties," yet are still worthwhile programs? Thank you!
