  1. Yep I got one too. Good they got it done with earlier rather than later!
  2. But no later? Will they notify everyone (the accepted, waitlisted and the damned)?
  3. Oh that's actually good (?) news. Much prefer to have it done with!
  4. I understand... There's still some hope though. I noticed there was only one international student with a terminal degree from outside the USA who posted an acceptance. Maybe I am just rationalising. In any case, very little we can do now. Good luck IRToni!
  5. I suggest you do as me: plug in to some very sooting (for me) Opeth and write away. Check your emails in 4-5 hours. And then, well, my suggestion falls short here, I have no idea ^^
  6. Any "political economy" admits from Princeton. If yes, I can mark my chances down as really low and get back to work
  7. Congratulations guys! This is great news, although a potential rejection for me
  8. Congratulations! I hope this is a sign that Liverpool are getting their ass kicked tomorrow
  9. I already freaked out about this last week and inquired with the department if it was normal. Apparently, it's a technical problem and ALL applications are marked incomplete on Wolverine Access. I am sorry I didn't make this known earlier if any more people are freaking out.
  10. This is great news c_o! Celebrate well over the weekend!
  11. My Introduction to Real Analysis book was also soiled by the squishy pears, if that can change the topic.
  12. Congratulations! I suppose my chances are fairly bleak for NYU, but nevermind. I'll focus on my work instead!
  13. I cannot upvote anymore. But you dog haha.
  14. Hi Shehzad, I also "switched" from Economics to Political Science. Technically, all you need is some sort of awareness about questions in political science, and judging by your thesis question, you should be fine there. For example both my theses were in Economics, but on election/collective decision games, and that worked in my favour. I personally don't think you need another Master's degree.
  15. But it is a Dover edition Shilov Surely you have some sympathy!
  16. I KNOW! Haha! And on top of that I really don't want my office mates to notice the smell...
  17. I was just pointing out that you've been a little unfair and quick to judge. In other news, I just realised that a bag of squishy, leaking pears has stained my favourite Linear Algebra textbook I deserve an acceptance notification to make me feel better!
  18. That's pretty cool. [edit: I checked, it's available in quite a lot of countries, but very little information, and no "developed" countries, also it's need and merit based both]. I'm not attacking the USA, by the way, merely stating that international students can be more constrained than their American counterparts when making their decision to apply. aecp, I don't think I learnt anything from "No wonder American foreign policy is so foolish".
  19. Hey guys, let's calm down. I am sure no one meant any offense, and I personally certainly did not mean or take any. This is a stressful period for all of us. We should not let it get to us
  20. I think you should also consider that most international students don't make/have that kind of money in their home countries. It's an additional burden on them. Assuming that you apply to around 12 schools, that would cost you upwards of $1000. That's more than average monthly income in a lot of countries. So for international students it could be an even more constrained choice problem.
  21. Guys, I think it's terribly unfair that Arsenal's difficult Feb fixture list matches our likely result dates. Will we run out of luck? But still, COME ON YOU GOONERS!
  22. Hi femmegooner, welcome to the forum! There is still time remaining, and all you need is one acceptance! I have my fingers crossed for you. Btw, are you a gooner (= supporter of Arsenal FC), or am I just mistaking the allusion?

Thanks Silas! Are all these neighborhoods you mention on bus lines or within biking distance from the U of R? Especially South Wedge.
  24. I "have reached my quota of positive votes". So count a +1 from my side. And congrats!
