Two Yale acceptances…anyone wanna claim this and what subfield?????

I would say dress in a way that makes you feel comfortable!
I had a 2-day interview trip earlier this week and I brought a couple options so that I could make up my mind when I got there. I end up going with outfits that one might call more eccentric, but those were the ones that I actually wear in business situations at work and that was definitely the right choice. I felt comfortable and didn't give my clothes a second thought all day. I think I actually would have felt awkward if I had gone with outfits that I never would have worn in really life.

I don't think academic has to mean boring.  I've seen a lot of professors get creative with it and still look professional.  I think you can probably pull it off
 
I would like to wear cute kinda vintagey looking stuff that's a little quirky but still professional.  I don't want to totally lose my style.  But I'm not too sure how to do it.  

I would say yes. Be academic and wear what you would wear to teach. It's like the start of a new career. You want to make a good impression. Speaking of which, I have to learn how to dress like an adult one of these days. Sigh.

I got accepted to University of Washington's MA for comparative religions.  First acceptance of the season.  I know it's not anthro, but I figured I'd post anyways.  Waiting on funding information, they had a few TA positions available. 

I GOT INTO CORNELL (funded!)!

You guys.  I've been freaking out for days since my call with my POI left things a little ambiguous....but they just called me and I got into UCSD with funding.  I literally could not be happier.  It's my top choice.  I don't know what to do with myself right now.  

@SaraB - Not sure that my renewed hope that "maybe I was just so great I didn't need to be interviewed" will be beneficial in the end, but at least my momentary grief period kicked me into high gear for a plan B.  Hopefully I'll be better prepared (mentally) for the outcome either way now.

Daykid and Sarab Ann Arbor is an amazing place! Congrats! One of my current profs is a recent ling. anth grad from UMich and is an amazing professor. 
 
I spent two semesters at UMich in undergrad but I hated the HUGE classes. I know the grad program is honestly as good as you hope it will be though.

Everyone seemed to think this week would be a big week as far as results right? I thought so too and because of this the last two days have been unbearably long. Anyone else feeling this way?

I saw Yale sending out Classics and humanities interviews.  Maybe that means we can look forward to Yale interviews going out this week!

Nope, UPenn hasn't moved yet.  Or at least I don't think so.  But I haven't heard anything online or off, and I know their stated deadline was flexible according to admissions, so maybe they are just running behind.

Just emailed Yale about my app status of incomplete and got a reply stating that it was complete and was currently being considered. Does this mean Yale's committee has/is meeting or is it a general response this time of year?

I got an Emory invite and am jumping around the bedroom!

Which school meets on the 31st?  Gotta get that gossip going.

I was doing this! It was taking up so much time that I made a chart with date ranges for the last few years for all my schools. It's now my desktop background. :/
