  1. Yes, LinkedIn has a "who's viewed your profile" section. You can see who it was as long as that person doesn't have an anonymous profile, which whoever viewed mine does. But, LinkedIn will tell you where they work, where they are at, what type of a job they have, etc. That's how I know it was someone from UW. I know nobody at UW or Seattle so I'm assuming it's somehow associated with my application.
  2. I am still waiting on Evans and Harris. Interestingly, someone from UW looked at my LinkedIn profile a couple of weeks ago. I don´t know who because I don´t have an account that allows me to see that but I am hopeful that it means something good. Has anyone else noticed that on LlinkedIn?
  3. @zworld707 Thanks for the heads up! I didn't get in, sadly. There was no email. I just checked USC connect and there was my letter. Still keeping my hopes up for a couple schools but I'll likely have to do this again next year, with better GRE scores, I hope! Best to all!!
  4. Hi everyone, I saw on the results board that someone was accepted at the University of Southern California. How did they notify you? Anyone else hear from them? That's my top school so I'm on freak-out mode.
  5. Has anyone applying to their PhD heard back?
  6. It’s been really quiet here! Any more news and acceptances?
  7. Hey everyone, is it fair to assume that UCLA has sent out all their acceptances?
  8. Congratulations!! That's wonderful news! I got the message from UW Evans about them starting to review applications. Also got a message from Chicago Harris asking whether I would consider a research focused MPP if I'm not accepted into the PhD program.
  9. Hilarious!!! I laughed to tears picturing the admissions person reading the subject line!!!
  10. Hi there! I´ve heard nothing so far but I´m trying to stay positive that I´ll be accepted somewhere. Thematically, I´m interested in exploring topics at the intersection of health, gender and violence. From a public administration standpoint, I´m interested in program evaluation as a tool that can improve accountability and effective service delivery. There are several professors working on different aspects of those issues at the schools I applied to so I´m hopeful that at least one of them will be interested in working with me. BTW, someone found an older thread of Public affairs PhD. We should switch to that one!
  11. Hi usercat, I tried starting a thread about this a few days ago... I can´t wait to start hearing back from schools. I applied to USC, Evans, Harrris for Public Policy and then NYU and UCLA for Sociology. I´m concerned about low GRE scores and my writing sample - most of my writing is in Spanish so they´re not reading my best work! I´m very hopeful... It takes just one acceptance! Best of luck! E
  12. Hi everyone, I haven't seen a thread on Public Policy PhDs. Anyone out there waiting for news? Heard back from schools? I applied to USC Price, Chicago Harris and UW Evans. I hate the wait!
  13. Hi everyone, I've been trying to find the acceptance rate for the PhD Program at USC Sol Price. Anyone? How competitive is it? Thanks!
  14. I also did a quick search online and it sounds like previous cohorts have started around march... I´m still holding my hopes up!
  15. Hi there, I have also been wondering about NETI. I haven’t heard back and the application page still says “In process.” Any news?
