  1. Ummmmm that sounds amazing, Kamisha. You just became my new best friend.
  2. Of course, despejado, I'll be soooo happy for you if you get in. That will make my strike out more bearable to see you guys succeeding! And Kamisha, what's your address, because I am so coming over to eat all your food!
  3. Ohhhh despejado! That's good news. Seems like they wouldn't give you false hope like that. I wish you the best! You're going to have a long weekend. Lol
  4. Omgggg that is the most perfect video I have ever seen!
  5. I have essentially 8 rejections, although a few are implied. Gahhhhhhh! Depression is around the corner.
  6. What a fun day! Vanderbilt sent me my official rejection as well!
  7. With an acceptance to Duke you can wait with peace of mind.
  8. Omg!!! So much red on the results board. I feel all of your pain!
  9. Notre Dame's rejection decision starting with "we are pleased" is quite misleading!
  10. Collikl, I have loads of questions about the program itself, but I think I'll hold out until I find out if I get accepted! I don't want to needlessly excite myself and be crushed if I get rejected. Soooo, hopefully you receive a PM in the next couple weeks from me bugging you.
  11. Omg Kamisha I meant to up vote your post! Lol. I down voted it. If that's not super villain enough to be accepted I don't know what is.
  12. Ready to be receptive...that has multiple meanings.
  13. I completely understand the feeling. I forgot to include my work cited in my Notre Dame application and contacted them to fix it and I kept getting an auto-response so it never got added. That's obviously the only reason I got rejected. I'm sure they will completely understand it was just a typo! They probably see plenty! And Kamisha, I admire your dreams. And they are all just as likely given how freakin' hard it is to get an acceptance.
  14. Verb tense error???? You are sooooooo rejected!!! Unforgivable!
  15. Of course no one here is really going to have concrete information in this, unless they work for the admissions! But I would be inclined to think it a good sign. I mean why CC the potential advisor? Who know though right? I wouldn't assume anything until you officially hear, that way it's not too much of a disappointment if it's a no go. Does anyone know the admissions statistics for the Georgetown MA?? I know I found some statistics on how many they admit one day back when I was applying, but now I cannot find it! I just see so many green posts... Considering it's my last school, I have so much invested in getting an acceptance and then praying like there's no tomorrow that they offer me some kind of funding. Because 40,000 a year in tuition is just impossible.
  16. I'll call posing as various scholars suggesting your admission! Nothing could go wrong . . .
  17. Kamisha, you so deserve a spot, consider yourself prayed for!
  18. Lol! I know it wasn't posted on the results board, but he or she told me in this thread a page or two back. It's also on the Rochester thread. But they are not going to accept. Maybe by some fluke they accepted all people who will be attending elsewhere. And then Rochester will come groveling to us!
  19. Well someone got accepted days ago. I think it was semicolon maybe, if I remember correctly. So if they did PhD acceptances and then moved on to offering the consolation prize of the unfunded masters. But this is all assumption! I have no idea. I really hope it's not the case!!!
  20. Rochester rejections have been posted that were offered MA spots, so I'm guessing those who haven't heard are just rejections. Oh well! One last school.
  21. I don't read quickly either!! I feel if anything English people read slower in order to find meaning. I usually do a once through to get a feel for the shape of whatever it is I'm reading and then I read again in order to garner more details I find important!
  22. Lol, the slight hatred stems from an immense amount of envy. Of course you want all the acceptances you can get. Options are always good. And honestly I would choose Duke over Harvard! But here's to hoping you get your pick.
