Hey, I know this is a little after the fact and I haven't read the whole thread, but I'm a current UM student. They had about 150 applicants this year and will probably offer about 5 spots. Good luck with everything! Soon all will resolve and settle down!

Hey, I'm a current grad student at Michigan- congrats on the invites! Chiki, the department is very understanding of students who can't make it. The faculty are great and are really excited about the group they have invited this year. I'm sure your skype interview will go great! Rainbowpink, looking forward to meeting you next month!

I got accepted to U Michigan today! I am so, so excited! Finally, some good news!

Just got my rejection from U Washington. Oregon and Washington in the same week... Sad to say goodbye to the possibility of living in that part of the country!

Yea, I sort of thought they were my safety school too. I don't know how many they usually take, but I did notice on the results page that for the past few years, only rejections were posted. I feel like that must mean they only take a couple students total each year. Just a hunch- maybe I'm wrong though. Good luck on your other apps!

I got my rejection from Oregon yesterday. Sad, but at least now I only have 7 programs to think about instead of 8! I officially deleted Eugene from my weather app, which makes it extra official.

I applied to 8 programs and have only heard from one (an interview) so far. Hoping for news soon! But I guess no news is good news, right?

I got an email from my POI at UMichigan this past Friday, inviting me to the campus visit weekend next month (I posted on the results page already). I don't know anything else about it yet, just what the email said- they made a shortlist of potential students and are inviting all those students out for that weekend. I don't know if that's 10 people or 30, or somewhere in between. And out of my 8 applications, it's the only place I've heard from so far. I'm new to this thread but all this uncertainty is killing me so I just felt like I needed to join in and contribute whatever I have to far! Best of luck, everyone. Cheers!
