Does anyone know if all of the Penn admits have been notified? I haven't heard anything at all...assuming in this case no news is bad news?

Welp. I'm assuming with the four Princeton admits that went up, I'm out. That's okay though, I still haven't heard back from any schools. If anyone here was admitted, care to share your field/area? Good luck everyone!

I know we are still waiting on UPenn, but is anyone else waiting to hear back from BU? Those two results from a few weeks ago are really diminishing my hope, haha.

I heard from a fellow applicant (friend from my MA) that Berkeley only accepted in-state PhD applicants- can anyone confirm or deny or speculate on this?

Hi! I'm likely applying to 7-8 programs (we'll see). I have an MA in Art History with extra-departmental specialization in Sexual Diversity. I'm interested in German photography, particularly LGBT artists and artist groups working around/during Paragraph 175 and the political discrepancies regarding the rule in the East/West.

1- Get a cat, they're great. 2- I have two days left before my deadline, given to me by Toronto's HA Grad department, to "confirm acceptance of [my] offer." I haven't heard back from any other schools yet. Anyone have any advice?

I'm American and got into the University of Toronto MA program, is that what you are referring to?

That's really interesting. I'm actually from the US, and really see the MA program at Toronto as a step towards a PhD program here. Actually, I'm attending a school that has a top US Art History program, and know several of the PhD students, who are from Canada have their MA from Toronto. I've also looked into DAAD, and others. I'm just so hesitant to take a year off though. I guess we'll see.

That was one of my ideas, I'd love to do the Toronto MA and then take a year off to study in Germany or something. I think it that's probably my most viable option, depending on what other programs I hear from (which are all two year MAs)...Thanks!

I've also been admitted to the 1 year MA at U of T, and have the same concerns. I'm still waiting to hear about funding, as well as from other schools, but the Toronto program was one of my top choices. If anyone has any advice regarding getting a MA in one year, please share....

Hey, I was just wondering, does anyone know approximately how many students the full-time MA program at Toronto accepts into an incoming class? Or actually, how large the class is? I've been accepted but can't seem to find this information anywhere, and I'm incredibly curious.

Hey all, usually a lurker here, but I was wondering if I could maybe get your opinion on something... The department secretary for one of the programs I applied to (my #1 choice) emailed me a few weeks ago, requesting that I send in official transcripts for my application because they did not receive them the first time. I immediately had official transcripts rushed to the school. Do you think that the personal reach-out could be considered a good sign? Compared to just saying, "oh, no transcripts, no admittance." I'm certainly not putting too much weight on this, but would love to know what you guys think. UGH, I'd really like some results already...
