Yeah, it's a little unnerving that it's the third week in February and I still don't have an acceptance. I don't have any rejections either, but I would have expected to hear something by now.

Here's a study of n=2... I know one person who got that notification and was accepted the next day. Personally, I haven't gotten that notification and I still don't have any further information. Assuming that each instance is representative of its class, all other things being equal, I'd say your probability of acceptance is higher now than it was on Thursday. Ah, of course you would have checked the list. I misread your post. It is pretty strange that the priority deadline is before the first acceptance letters go out. But then again it's only an extra burden for the applicants, and it makes things easier for the admissions office. I guess you can do that if you're Harvard and have plenty of people begging to get into your school.

I didn't think I would qualify for any scholarships either, but there was actually one for people doing work related to the environment. I'm applying for the environmental epidemiology concentration, so I thought I'd give it a shot. You might be surprised. It's not only rich people and secret societies giving the scholarships (although there is plenty of that).

I applied to the Epidemiology ScD and haven't heard anything yet. Based on Grad Cafe results from previous years, I'd expect to hear something not long after February 15. Maybe they just don't want to ruin people's Valentine's Day! I'd do the FAFSA before the deadline because they really are more likely to give you financial aid. If you don't care about financial aid, well, that's a different story

You're asking something reasonable and they haven't responded in days. I think you're justified in contacting them again.
